Technical Ability - 7, He has a excellent technique in his power punches especially his over hand right - His Dad put it as 'Power Boxing' and that pretty much says it all for his style.

Defence - 7, he was never known for a defencive expert. But for an aggressive fighter who likes throwing power punches he didn't get hit alot, in my opinion is one of those fighters that use his Offence as a defence.

Offence - 9.5, I think he was one of the best offensive fighters at his best, he had great power and fast hands also a great finisher. Offensively he was near complete.

Footwork - 7, He has good general movement, he is able to close down his opponent when he wants to finish things off.

Accuracy - 7, He has good accuracy but not great. He has very accurate combinations that could be deadly for an opponent.

Power - 9, He has great power - coming from 135 he carried his power well to 147, he has great power in his combination and in single punches aswell. His fight vs Margarito showed his power - he KOed a Granite chin fighter in Margarito

Speed - 8, he has excellent speed. He can throw fast combinations as well as quick jabs and right hands.

Versatility - 8, He is able to both Box and Slug it out and he does it easily. He also fights on the inside and on the outside.

Stamina - 9, He was able to throw fast power punchers for the full 12 rounds without seeming to tire.

Heart - 9.5, in his prime he would trade it out with the best of them, never could imagine mosley quiting and vs Pacquiao I was Shocked - but he was way past his prime in that fight.

Chin - 10, Truly great chin, proven many times down twice against forrest and once recently against pac but he took big punches from the best of them.

Physical Attributes - 7, Depends on which weight you look at 135 or 147. at 135 he would probably be an 8. He was never a fighter who used his natural physical advantages (147) if he had any in a fight.

Overall - 8.5

Wouldn't disagree too much with any of these ratings, really; Mosley was one hell of a technician in his pomp and it's a shame that his Lightweight career tends to be too easily forgotten by some. It's interesting that Eddie Futch, no less, described Mosley as "potentially the equal of Sugar Ray Robinson" when he first saw him box. And Futch wasn't an easily-pleased man.

Shane mosley punched the same way as Robinson, in the way of technique. Both fighters used to throw punches with accuracy and power behind them wether it was a combination or a single punch.

Speed was at least a nine when he was young. He was absolutely blinding when he first moved up to Welterweight.

Quicker than De La Hoya, who at the time had very fast hands.

Maybe 8.5, i rate guys like Pacquiao, Mayweather, 9 or 9.5
