Whats everyones thoughts on how this fight will go!! I have a sneaky feeling Bute won't be able to handle the road warriors pressure, so i'm going for the underdog. You can get odds of Johnson stopping bute in rounds 7-12 at 16/1. Great price for a decent possibility!!

Cheers!!

Gonna be a good fight IMO.

Bute struggled with Andrade's pressure, interesting to see how he copes with the non-stop forward pressing of Johnson.

Bute could theoretically cause a shock and KO Johnson but I'm playing it safe and vouching for Bute by decision. Johnson could well make him uncomfortable for periods of the fight and I feel will be too wily and experienced to get stopped but in the end Bute will have too much youth and energy.

yeah i went for a bute decision. just think he will have a bit too much for old glenn... but in truth i dont know whether butes chin would have been tested at such a level (johnsons dangerous right) so a shock knockout could be on the cards.

bute isnt the greatest with his feet in my opinion and come forward fighters may have better success than most...

possibility of johnson taking one too many near the end as well however... i would be utterly stunned if bute took him out early... always a question i suppose of johnson may just be too far gone though, there will be a fight where father time truly catches up with him... but get a feeling not tonight.

bute to outclass him and take it by a wide decision but wouldnt be shocked if there was a couple of scares along the way...

Johnson smacked the grease off of Allan Greene the fight before, and it was a close tough contest, he's PAST IT not shot, ridiculous.

And 6oldenboy he's a writer or editor or something for Boxing Monthly.

Last 4 fights he knocked out Yusaf Mack, got beat in a real close contest against Tarvoris Cloud, knocked out Allan Green then lost a close fight against Froch, how on earth is he shot?

But as Alex says, he's on the slide, but not shot. The MD against Froch was a poor decision, it was clearly Froch's fight. Why do you dislike him? Is it the whole Calzaghe Saga?

Alex thank goodness I don't buy Boxing Monthly. That chap is is as rude and Vulgar as they come.

Cote was impressive but he left himself wide open in the first and was almost on the canvas for it. Power looks there and some interesting fights to be made for Cote in the future. Not completely convinced by him though.

Not seen enough of his boxing skills yet, certainly seems to have some power but plenty of boxers have looked to have massive power to only be found to have decent at the top level. Certainly one to keep an eye on though.

Seen him a few times, last time I saw him was on the Bute/Mendy undercard looked quite good then as well, bit frustrating that night, but showed good skills at times, looks like he can definately bang as well.

I think Bute should win on Pts but would love to see Johnson win even though it would go against me in Unions League. I'm not sure Bute has enough of a punch to take Johnson outta there.

Personally I think Bute could well be the best SMW in the world. Once Ward disposes of Froch I would love them pair fight it out to see who is the best. Admittedly I was a bit OTT calling Johnson shot but I still dont think he has enough in the tank to win this one

Difficult the likes of Kotelnik may be too much for him, perhaps Judah would be ok as he's very much on the slide? not sure.

Victor Cayo? Ashley Theophane? Ajose Olusegun?

A fair few decent fights for him at this point.

Yeah it's difficult right now, they don't need to rush him right now either plenty of learning fights there for him as he's rising, would slow him down and give him 2 years of learning fights against good fighters then really step him up to the best in the division.

Maybe might just be a bit too quick for him, the likes of Alexander have been in with a lot of top ten ranked fighters and above like Urango and Bradley and Kotelnik may be just too far for him right now.

Hm Bute so awkward and don't think Johnson has the keys to unlock this one... Bute is picking him off a bit here. Johnsons gotta pick up the pace but do think that if he does he's gonna get clipped, he's going to be open to a bute uppercut.

Nah of course he has to step up but think the likes of Alexander might be one step too far after a Cayo fight, Teron was a step up in comparison and he blasted him away so think he's there to move up again but can move along slow, no need to rush him.
