Morning Yummy,
Slowly accepting Andy is out of Miami now. Was really looking forward to this tournament, was expecting good things. We'll see how he goes in the doubles but I'm not sure where the TV schedule is for the doubles, seen nothing of IW doubles. Any info from anyone would be helpful. Ta mucho

Morning MTS
I don't THINK we'll get to see any Doubles play, there usually
isn't much coverage
I am rapidly losing patience with Andy. That stubborn streak
of his is holding him back

Magic?.......it'd be a B****Y miracle!
Aaaw...Andy fans......it seems worse this morning than last night.....Andy's defeat has had time to sink in since then.
I expect Andy was as surprised as us at his shock exit last night.........maybe last night's performance was his unconscious mind telling him he doesn't want to play tennis anymore. Tho' if Andy has simply gone off playing tennis his conscious mind would be fully aware of it, too, I would have thought.
I don't know what to think......you experts on here are all saying he needs a good coach........so I'll go along with that.
We must find Andy a coach

Yummy,
there will be on LiveScoreHunter!
Perhaps some of Novak's good form, or more importantly positive attitude, will rub off on Andy...

Evening Yummy,
Doubles didn't work out either.
Looks like Andy is having a bit of a think re the coaching situ. Its a pity though due to the poor form this time last year he had ranking points at his mercy this year. Hopeful he picks up for the clay, even if all he can do is retain his points it should keep him in top 5 unless David Ferrer goes on a run, and Berdych not too far behind him. If Ferrer wins Miami, there would only be around 30 points between him and Andy. Then I shall start the sweating

I am afraid that Andys' mind is in a state of turmoil atm.
I blame his *team Murray* They are not doing him any
favours by kow-towing to *the Boss* and not telling
him like it is !
Andy needs a kick up the posterior by someone with the
personality to stand their ground and take no nonsense
from him !!!
The ONLY 2 I can think of are Cahill and McEnroe

Yeah Yummy,
There was an interesting discussion on Sky earlier where the American chappy said that as the player pays the cheque for the coach then they are maybe not as forthcoming with criticism in case they lose their job. The exceptions are the Macs of the world who would not fear being 'sacked' as they have plenty of offers of media work. I'd go for Mac, that would be AWESOME

Meant to say did you hear Roger Federer talking about Andy after he won his match, you know how the questions always get around to Andy at some point He said some nice things and Andy shouldn't be worried he'll bounce back, he's too good a player. I like Roger a little bit more now

Re: Spit and Sawdust
sorry MTS1 but Roger can say what he likes about Andy
I know he meant well but his remarks are'nt going to get
Murray pumped up !
There is a difference between a *slump* and a down-right
collapse of form.
Like I said - Andy needs a Cahill or a McEnroe to
a) Coach him and
b) To tell him how it is !

I'm hedging my bets atm MTS
I don't understand what is going on at this time
Will he be "adult" enough to take the *rough* with the *smooth*
as far as straight talking is concerned ??
But we all know he's GOT to get out of this frame of mind
and the sooner the better.

I wonder if he actually needs a "tennis" coach.
Why not a sportsman who is/was top of their profession and can glide Murray into the right mindset ?

Re: Spit and Sawdust
How far will Andy get in the Monte Python Carlo circus ?
Last years terrible loss to Kohlschreiber 6-2, 6-1 in the 2nd round almost mirrored his recent matches this year.
Will he get beyond and into the last 16 this year ?
Can he beat Stepanek or Baghdatis ? if so he may well have to beat Simon or Malisse to go further.
Its these types of players that he somehow falls to in tournies like this, he shouldn't but he does, maybe this time with clay it might herald a new beginning, he needs something to give him some encouragement.

Well, he did all right our boy did. Semi final of a clay tournie and took a set off Nadal, great stuff.
Pity about his elbow, but the end result was pretty much on the books as it were.
I actually think he will do quite well in Barca this week, anyone have thoughts on this ?

IF his elbow is OK I think he might go quite a way into
the tourney judging by the way he played last week !
He seems to have found his tennis head again 8)

Sadly, its not to be. doctors orders.
But we can look forward to the next tournie.....Madrid !
All the way to the 1st of May.
He's only got Rome before the FO, lets hope he manages the injury well and the FO might then be a good place for him to shine a bit.

Greetings Yummy,
Been busy with work and study for a while so limited access to the site. I'm sure when 606 goes this place will explode, in a good way I hope.
Good to see Andy taking the Doctor's orders with his elbow. I enjoyed his tennis last week.
Hoping Madrid is another fine showing for oor Andy.

taken your advice and stopped studying, searched bookshops yesterday for one of my course books and couldn't get it anywhere. This has unfortunately made me put books away and have a nice relaxing Easter.
