It's all good having this new facilities for North Wales but is there a pathway for them to go in becoming a professional player? It seems most of the best players do end up in the English academies!

half of the north wales u16 1st 22 went to english clubs- 2 with u16 wales caps went to leceister, 3 to sale, 2 to gloucster, and 3 to league

the ones who stay in rgc put their trust in being scouted for one of the other regions once they finish college- ussually scarlets as north wales was under the scarlet region for 5 years or so.

it is embarrasing though as 3 rgc u16's got welsh caps 2 of them have gone to england and i cant blame them, rgc tactics are rubbish and the set up is poor

welshy - thats sad news. The WRU should really look into this otherwise all they are doing is funding the development for these teams players without any return!

Not really, these boys going to English academies to learn is not a bad thing because they would only be taking spaces up from other welsh boys if they went to a region.
They are still Welsh even in an English academy! Let our boys block English boys chances not our own.

The losses that concern me are the boys who went to rugby league!
