Whatever happened to Willie Mason

After the fudgeing of his contract with Hull he joined Toulon and played immediately for the Baa Baa's and looked very middle of the road (a good performance for a converts first match) but since then I have not heard anything about him, possibly further compounded by my limited french skills.

I was wondering if anybody on this knowledgable board could shed some light on his progress?

French farce for Willie
* BIG Willie Mason's rugby union debut for Toulon in the French Top 14 has made global headlines.
Unfortunately for the former Bulldog and Sydney Rooster, it had nothing to do with his 70-minute cameo at inside centre during Toulon's 19-6 loss to Montpellier a fortnight ago.
Mason's Toulon team-mate Olivier Missoup is facing a five-month ban after putting on a stink with a Montpellier rival named Remy Martin (as in the cognac) during the presentation drinks afterwards.
Missoup allegedly elbowed ex-Stade Francais team-mate Martin in the head, causing the man with the same name as the well-known French liqueur to require 10 stitches in his lip.
We're tipping Mason would have loved it.

Not sure what Mason's up to these days, but my betting is he's still got a massive chin

Laporte (who is now coach of RCT) said that Mason was too old to learn Union basics and didnt have any future in Toulon...played 2 games so far and competition at centre is quite huge there with a few promising youngsters as well. at best he should be tried as a flanker.

he did have one superb offload for the babaas in the run up to nacewas try.

horrible git on the field in league but every sport needs a pantomine villain.

I thought he auditioned for The Bachelor???????????
