V2 WCC- The Final

Two and half months and 39 polls have led CM Punk and Kurt Angle to the the final of the v2 wrestling champion competition and today please vote for not only the wrestler you rate the highest but the wrestler you want to be crowned the overall winner

Kurt Angle has done more than CM Punk when you look at the careers.

CM Punk has done more and been more relevent than Kurt Angle in the last 12 months.

It's all down to how people have voted up to now, whether it's based on careers or their recent history.

I voted Angle, but this could go either way.

Please vote for the wrestler you rate the highest and the overall winner - for this i had to go with Angle, really tough one though because both wrestlers are amazing superstars.

I voted Angle too...

The question is who i rate the highest, not the best this year.. There is no doubt that CM Punk has a bright future in the business if he can continue to excite the fans as he has recently, but in my opinion Angle should walk this!

Went for Angle as I believe that he is the complete package... Punk is great but Angle is better

Kurt Angle has something that most others don't. He has had the career many would wish for and he is still performing at a very high level and is more relevant today than most if not all of his contemporaries.

To get to the final while competiting in TNA shows how good he is and was always going to be my choice.

You can still have great matches way after you've peaked. Look at Undertaker.

Toss of a coin to be honest, i cant seperate them so will have to base my vote on the here and now therefore Punk gets my vote.

Taker’s are once a year though, with Angle you knew every single time he got in the ring he would raise the game of the opponent no matter who they were. For me the only reason people feel he wasn’t at his peak was due to which fed he was in. If he’d have been in WWE for those years no-one would have questioned it.

Angle is still an incredible athlete, All this proves to me is that even though he may not be at the peak of his career, he is still better than CM Punk.

Fixed it for you. When a Heel, Punk has been the top guy in both the Indys, and the WWE. Punk is also now the No1 Merch seller at WWE. Now it takes an impressive feat to knock Cena from the No1 spot. Now Punk might not have had the glistening highs of Angles career.

Angle wins the Olympics, does nothing for 2 years, gets handed a WWF contract, and is a regular on TV within a year.

CM Punk clawed his way up the ranks through the Indys. And look where he is now. How many other guys have reached the heights that Punk has after years of blood, sweat and tears for next to nothing in the Indy circuit? Not many.

Its all a matter of opinion, and in my opinion winning the olympics and peaking when the company was a far better product are more impressive than the achievements of CM Punk.

Kurt Angle is one of the very few reasons i Watch TNA.

CM Punk may have an impressive background within Indy wrestling, having not seen any of it i can only judge on his WWE career.

Merchandising however should have nothing to do with a 'greatest wrestler' poll surely..

If that was the case then next year the final will be current face Champion vs Zak Ryder

I'm afraid i've looked back at the list of wrestlers at the inception of this competition and there is one glaring absentee who you have missed MtotheC.

Jefferson Impact was not included.

I therefore declare this competition void and suggest you start again?

I went for Punk, i had to base my vote on the here and now because i couldnt seperate them in other way.

Best Talker - Punk
Biggest Draw - Im really not sure.

The only way i could make a decision is by who deserves the vote based on their work in 2011, so Punk nicked it.

@ hero, for god sake I'm stating to look really silly now! How about tomorrow I run a Jefferson impact vs brimstone poll for the unofficial champ title?!

I like both and think both have great styles and Wrestling personalities, both obviously have the respect of fans to get this far

Very tough one this. I would say Kurt Angle is the best all round wrestler but I have been basing my voting on the here and now. Punk is the biggest thing right now AND I don't watch TNA so haven't even seen Angle's work for years.

Funny, everyone assumed Punk would win easily and the whole competition wasn't really necessary, I think is part of the reason its so close.

Anyway surely the right finalists though, the star of 2011 vs probably the greatest all round wrestler of all time (who's still active). Incidentally I voted for Angle for a longer career at the top

Shows as well that we have quite a vibrant little wrestling community on here with 65.
Spread the word folks, lets have double that the next time this comes around.

Wholeheartly agree.... Not always the biggest fan of such polls but I tip my hat to you for sticking with it & following through great work...

What a final... It's fittingly been the most interesting and one of the closest polls yet. As always voting will stop in the morning at about 8ish when I will confirm the winner and post up the competition summary thread.

Everyone got involved because you deserved it, you put a lot of time and effort into this and I think everyone has appreciated it, you've not only created polls, you created topics which constantly sparked debate with loads of different posters
