Nadal off the clay for me - 5 finals off clay this year including two slam finals plays 1 slam final for Federer.

I'm with barrystar on this

Don't see any reason why Rafa won't make a good number of Finals in 2012, just as he did this year. But the difference in 2012 is that Djokovic won't always be there - or be able - to stop him taking a non-clay title or two

Based on law of averages and advancing years another Slam is going to be a much bigger ask (though far from impossible) for Federer

Fed's won 16 slams and Nadal's won Wimby, AO and the USO so does it really matter ?

erictheblue ..... yeah, when you put it like that it seems a pretty academic argument when all said & done !

Maybe we should instead be trying to fathom out how much longer before a 'new' youngster can break the stranglehold that Fed/Rafa/Djoker have had on all four Slams for countless years now...... Shocked
