Perhaps a wee bit premature, but just in case anybody is dashing off early today, I thought I'd drop this in now.

Mrs Windy and I wish every single one of you and your nearest and dearest a very happy Christmas.

It's been a very good first year for 606v2, and you fellas in the boxing section have contributed enormously to its growth and success. From a personal perspective, I can tell you that I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the community and have enjoyed hours of pleasure chewing the fat with you all. Of course, there have been moments when tempers have been frayed and heckles raised but, in the greater scheme of things, that's all been part of the fun. Besides, in the vast majority of cases, disagreements have been solved, solutions found, peace restored, and a greater sense of community has been built.

All in all, you're a great bunch, and Mrs Windy has been delighted that I have been able to be fiddling around here as opposed to getting under her feet, though my dog has probably resented v2 ( and particularly azania ) from time to time while I've been debating Marciano and he has been waiting for some TLC.

Thanks for a terrific first year, and have a wonderful Christmas, everybody.

Nice one, Windy. Can't really add anything to what you have said, but let me pass on my thanks to all for the consistent boxing debate on this board. There has been the odd issue, but that's always likely with so many people contributing, I guess, and once the dust has settled you've all been mature enough to carry on with the main reason we are here (aside from work dodging) - discussing boxing. All in all, a very good first year, and merry Christmas to you and your families.

As an intermittent poster who mostly follows the bigger fights, I'm often astounded at the knowledge on this board and I doth my cap!

There is news here which in many times is faster than the heavyweight boxing websites. The humour is excellent too!

The board keeps me both entertained and enlightened.
