Rule has always been in place in the league that a player has to have completed one full season at his RL club before a transfer can be considered.

So is this based on RL or not, cause you are far from consistent!!

Krul hasn't been linked with anyone other than Spurs? So is that realistic? What about Ben Arfa? Has he been linked with Lazio? I can pretty much guarantee he hasn't.

Finally I have an attacking midfielder with a bit of flair...

We do our best with every transfer to look into the past transfer dealings, contract talks, the selling club involved and if the player would consider it.

I myself have questioned numerous transfers that I've failed on, Torres, Navas, Teves, Ganso, to name a few. Just accept the decision and if it's looking more likely to happen over the next few days try again.
