Sri Lanka sack Geoff Marsh

Geoff Marsh has been sacked as SL coach after just 4 months following the defeats to Pakistan and South Africa in both formats. He will be replaced by Graham Ford. I guess with all the political difficulties with the SL board and players not being payed plus the on-field troubles I wouldn't be surprised if Marsh is glad to get out quickly. Ford is SL's 4th coach of the year after Trevor Bayliss (resigned after World Cup), Stuart Law (appointed for England tour with a view to carrying on but chose Bangladesh job instead) and Marsh.

Dilshan is also expected to be replaced as captain shortly provided a reasonable alternative can be found.

Rodney Hogg said on The Cricket Show tonight that Swampy Marsh was caught watching his boys playing in the Big Bash during one of the recent SA-SL matches.

Allan Border then said - imagine if Mickey Arthur was watching SA play during the Oz-India series... how would CA feel?

(The thing is - the Australian Test matches don't coincide or overlap with matches being played in SA.)
