yh i defo withdrew at some point, because i wanted cameron white instead...i dont want tiwary and i was first to bid for him, so surely he goes into the supplemental auction..........

Hmmm, I'm guessing your extra forwards were running through their backs, and their backs were running around your forwards in the backline

most of our tries came through todays pack tbh, when we realised passing to our forwards in the backs, we just picked and went and then runners off 9 and 10. nice and boring.

but yes their backs ran around us, some of them had some serious gas on them

kohli is one of the best young batsman in the world if not the best..

he should have been in a higher category IMO.

Re Kohli, I think 470k is a fair price though at a 150k reserve price (clearly too low - he's arguably a far better cricketer than Pollard, and with a far stronger international career to date) I hoped not to have to go higher than 400k.

I was hoping to beat you to Kohli but you got your post in just before the auction shut. Kohli is a great signing for you, I really wanted him

I'm not saying kohli isn't good, just saying that there are other players better than him who have gone for less.

Plus cf why keep going on about him being in a higher group? He went for 170k more than the base value of high. If he had been in the high group to start with would he have gone higher? Probably not. I thought it made for a very fun bidding war yesterday.

I've set up a nice little spreadsheet to randomly assign injuries each round. Basically each player has a 7.5% chance (1 in 15 chance) that they'll miss the coming match. So if you have a 30 man squad, on average you'll have 2 players unavailable each round.

CF, if Kiwi has gone for 7.5% then you should have, over the course of two games, three players injured in your squad on average. Or 1.5 a week roughly.

Just a couple of things.

I will be deciding the pitches for Gregers' league and he will be doing so for my league, so as to eliminate any chance of bias and pitch doctoring.

Each week, there will be a voting thread for each league, where voting will be done in the same way as the IPL, please look into that if you're new to this.

Finally, we will be re-releasing half of those unsold from the auction soon and they will be available at Base Price +50k.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Basically you say who you think will win and why. Taking into account the pitch and the players and the tactics. The reasoning can be as long or as short as you wish

Just so people are aware, the injury selection process is quite variable - some weeks only 6% of players might be injured, another week 9% might be. Though the average over the weeks should come out around 7.5%.

I was doing some tests just now and managed to generate an injury list that included 4 of Middlesex's 1st choice playing XI . On the flip side, some weeks you will probably have no injuries at all.
