Hostile takeover of 606

As we all know, and is the purpose of 606v2. 606 will close down on the last day of the football season. Now I'm prosuming this is the last day of the Premier League season - 22nd May 2011.

In order to go out with a bang I suggest we plan a hostile takeover of the 606 Wrestling boards on Friday 19th May.

This gives us plenty of time to plan our attack and undertake a few practice operations before the big takeover on the 19th.

Any suggestions and plans what to do would be welcomed. Whose with me?

I'm up for that. I have a 606 account that has lain dormant for two years (all the trolling/ wuming/ whatever you call it, got on my nerves there so I barely used it) and I'm willing to resurrect it for a day to promote this lovely site!

Blow up BBC headquarters?

Drive a tank to BBC HQ and atempt to storm the building, crotch-chopping, all the while?

Bit extreme KB!! I was thinking more like hundreds and hundreds of articles with YouTube clips galore. Every poster uses up their 5 article a day limit on the same subjects, basically overload their system. All with a side topic promoting 606v2.

spray paint all there personal items.ie planes/buildings.
Personally i will try but ones i have put on so far have been deleted

And if everyone were to create some fake email accounts ... we could have exponential numbers... mwahahahaha!

I think it would be better not to have 606v2 mentioned in the articles, it could encourage WUMs that they will have a home here.

Think an effort to fill the wrestling page on the last day is definately called for though!

What we need to do i systematically flood the main page.

Get people to sign up, and come up with an idea, everyone has one word and it reads something specific, we all posts at the same time to try and get it to read as a whole on the main page.

I was planning 5 articles about Wayne...

I don't think that this is a good idea.

Flooding the main page is WUMMING. Do we allow wums on 606v2 - no.

I have in the past posted stuff on 606 which was detrimental to 606v2 for which I was wrong to do.

This should not be encouraged and will make v2 look bad. If you do it, I wouldnt mention v2 (like Enforcer has already said).

Is it not the case though that the vast majority of people on here have the same user name on 606.

Last day on 606 and a lot of people will still be undecided where to go.
Would they pick the site where the respected posters cluttered 606 with spam for kicks?

You are a known admin on 606v2 and your involvement would lead to association with us.

Having been through this myself, I am just sharing my experience of bad things coming from it. There is no need to jump down my throat.

I do not think that the admin team should be endorsing this behaviour.

just put adverts on the boards

Lots of adverts for the same thing will be worse than no adverts. If people want to do that then they are free to do so obviously, I just think it will look very hypocritical if all of our posters WUM another site and we then try to keep WUMs off here.

Do you want me to remove the 606v2 association from the OP?

That would be cool Bobby, I still understand Hero's reservations but I think it would be best if it was something separate to here!

I'm not going to do it lads, if i was looking for a place to go, i'm no sure i'd fancy going to a place whose posters are spamming another forum, fortunately i know you lot and know you're not like that but any potential newbies might be put off

This is very childish.... a better place to air views has materialised since the demise of 606, in the form of these boards.

Let's be grateful for what we have & leave the past behind

Come on Brady - Man up 8) . We can do what we want on 606 with no consequences. It's a chance to have a final bit of fun 606 style.
