Roland Garros Day 6
Nearing the business end of the opening rounds.
Djokovic and Federer in action. Verdasco and Tsonga also play today. Delpo and Berdych a good side act.
Wawrinka and Simon in what for me is match of the day.
On the womens side Azaranka, Radawanska, Sharapova, Stosur and Ivanovic all play.
Any upsets?
Sanchez to take out 15th seed Cibulkova
Maybe just maybe FOGNIIIINNNNNNIIIIIIIII

Re: Roland Garros Day 6
I can't see Federer or Djokovic having any problems. Pretty easy Third Round matches for them. Berdych as well I think should come through fairly comfortably. The shock of the day could come in the Del Potro-Cilic match.

Re: Roland Garros Day 6
Berdych is looking fearsome. Cruising through so far. It's gonna be a huge clash against Roger in the quarters. I expect him to beat Del Po.

Re: Roland Garros Day 6
I definitely feel Berdych is a dark horse in this tournament. Really impressed with his recent form and he looks very confident. I would tip him to beat Del Potro (if of course del potro gets through, cilic is a tricky opponent). If he can come through Del Potro in maybe 3 -4 sets would give him a good shot at taking out Federer.
I have a feeling that Berdych will be the next player to break through at a slam outside of the big 3.

Murray has responded to the Wade 'Drama Queen' jibe. Calling on her to be more supportive.
If anything Andy she should start wearing scarf's because that leather handbag of neck is grim viewing!

Let's go Anderson, let's go..
I still expect Roger to beat Berdy even on this surface..
Berdych has all the shots but does he have the intangibles? We know Roger has both.

I don't think Wade's support is going to increase his chances of Slam success.
I can only think that neck is concealing Murray lovebites really

We didnt factor Mr.Anderson!
The owner of a huge serve...and he's averaging nearly 75% 1st serves in.
Roger will be breathing a sigh of relief if this continues.

I cant believe how many matches at RG lapse over into the next day either.
Its not fair on the guy who has built momentum or used his energy better before play ends.
And its not like its been raining or anything...plus they start at 11am...their scheduling leaves something to be desired.

Anderson has had some good results this year but this would still be a BIG surprise. Reckon Berdbrain will still win though.

Nadal losing to Ferrer or even Raonic.
The signs are there.

Berdy serving for the 4th, and into a 5th we appear to be going.
20-18 anyone?
Anderson only dropped 5 point on serve in 5 games, but got broke. Tough.

Berdych levels the match. Reckon he'll wrap this up now, but he's had a scare. Organisers - very poor scheduling again - must be breathing a sigh of relief that the first two women's matches on Chartrier have finished fairly quickly.

Interesting; do we put this down to Berdych fallability or what? It was certainly as close as the score suggests;
151 points Berd v 148 Anderson
4/6 bps Berd v 2/6 Anderson

4/6 bps Berd v 2/6 Anderson

Agreed she is not a cheerleader and don't think that is what Andy is implying if you read between the lines. He states she is/was a friend of the family having done coaching for a few years with his mum and he probably seen her as a friend and this is how she acts. That is how I read it. Now she in intitled to her opinion but for every one of her and Greg I could throw three-fold of people who sympathised with Murray's predicament yesterday and commended his fighting spirit but some people here choose to accept the negative opinion. I wonder why?

That does add a little more weight to her opinion, don't you think? She'll know Andy better than Jim Courier et al, and maybe - just maybe - she knows him to be a little bit of a (hushed whisper) drama queen.CaledonianCraig wrote:bogbrush wrote:legendkillarV2 wrote:Murray has responded to the Wade 'Drama Queen' jibe. No it can easily be said that she is/was a friend of the family and this is how she reacts? Has she suffered back spasms? Unknown but she never says she has yet Jim Courier and Ivan Ljubicic both have and can testify it is not nice and never once suggested he was a drama queen and lets not forget Jim Courier does work on the men's tennis circuit (close up and personal) more than Virginia Wade who more often than not judges from a TV studio many miles from the action.

Not quite...
I read it that it was a 'In my day' kind of jibe like you get in all sports.

JWT a set up on Fognini but making heavy weather of it. The Italian is showing some lovely touches, including exquisite lobs. (just as I say that he double faults to hand the break back to Tsonga)

Good grief Murray is everwhere. So because Virginia Wade "did some coaching with his mother" Murray thinks she should just say supportive things about him whilst working for the media. Ha ha! Does Murray not understand that not everyone in British tennis is on his team and working for him (well not yet anyway). Where is my article about Murray and nepotism?

So you're basing your ideas on the theory that she never had back spasms?
I'll ask her and let her know that she's not supposed to express an opinion about a person she knows really well unless she's had the same condition. I mean, what the Hell does she know about tennis anyway?

How can she have had back spasms as she only had a powder puff serve.

Are you seriously implying that Murray's back spasms were caused by his powerful serve?
