2012 Punt Fest.

As some will know despite being English I have no desire to see the England Football team lift the trophy. I've elected to follow Germany but I can't say I'm particularly bothered whether they win or not and as such have decided to have a bet in every match in an attempt to get the ol' April fluttering.

I've dumped a ton in my paddy account with the aim of having a punt on the result of each match and to see how long I can last without having to re-invest.

First two selections I've gone for are a cockle on the barbers and a lady on the chef's trousers.

I love a good ol' bet too and have done a double for the first 2 games, Poland and Russia

Cheeky ones you have there....I stuck a fiver on under 3.5 goals in that game but it's a really tough night as it is a pretty even group with no "bankers" in there that are obvious.

the draw with france sweden is obviously abit out there!!

Really struggling with today's selections. Spain are a really prohibitive price considering they don't need to win but it's hard to bet against them. I could bet on total goals as Croatia probably need to score but then again a 1-1 suits them both.

Italy are again a short price and I can see them struggling to score.

Always the option of not betting but that's against my rules!!

Mysti, I think I've spotted an anomaly in the PP power betting. Croatia are 17/10 in the +1 handicap market but only 13/8 in the double result Croatia/Draw. Correct me if I'm wrong but are those bets not one and the same thing?

James, the reason I back against England is because the odds on the opposition are always higher than their actual chances of winning due to the fact the bookies allow for people who will back England regardless. Obviously until England lose I don't get the benefit.
