ESPN to air the NFL Draft

ESPN will air the opening round live, beginning at 1:00 a.m. in the early hours of Friday April 29. The second and third rounds will also be screened live on ESPN, kicking off at 11:00 p.m. on Friday April 29.


This is great news for me as I've never seen the draft before and would really like to see it even if it's just once.

I really like watching the draft but I don't have ESPN and I don't intend on getting it. Maybe NFL Network will stream it?

I should think it will definitely be online somewhere for free, I've got ESPN for the NHL, probably cancel it until September after the Stanley Cup finals.

nfl.com streamed it last year, but got year before it was too busy, always on justin.tv

NFL.com has streamed it for the last few years. It has gradually improved from the buffering mess that it was a few years back and I had a good connection last year for the 1st round and it was great.

Always good to have a backup like justin.tv etc. in case the stream collapses.

I also noticed last year that at a certain point, around the middle of the 1st round, the NFL.com feed switched to a secondary group of presenters as opposed to the main group of Eisen, Mayock etc and focused much more on the earlier picks as opposed to what was actually going on live.
I then went and looked on a direct stream of the NFL Network and Eisen etc were still on which peeved me a bit.

Not able to watch it live but will be recording it and watching the next morning.

I'm not buying all the talk about Pouncey possibly falling to the Giants, I think we'll have to go for Akeem Ayers or Mark Ingram. But if Pouncey is still there I'd snap him up.
