which team in the premier league resembles each participating nation at euro 2012 in your opinion?

i thought i would ask as there has been alot of doubt at the ability of some of nations, with some believeing sweden to be very ordinary and others believing they could be a threat. only had a minute to think of it, but i was thinking maybe england are everton while ireland could be wolves with the germans being arsenal. it might help us to realise the difference in class between the teams, for example people last night were potentially dreaming that ireland could of beaten spain. but if we class spain as manchester united/city then what really is the likelehood that on neutral territory, wolves would beat united or city? if you get what im saying.. who are evertons opponents tonight then?

this is your opinion, so it can range from style of play, resilience or just league positioning

I think Spain are Manchester United, because of their dominance.

Netherlands are Arsenal, lauded for their playing style but seem to fall at the final hurdle too often.

Germany are Manchester City, lots of top players at once they play attacking football, but can they topple Spain/Manchester United.

England are Liverpool, top in the past and still believe we can reach it, but we're just not there.

France are Chelsea, were new to success in international football in modern times but have fallen back, they'll hope to get the win from nowhere like Chelsea did.

Poland are Everton. They have some talented players but a lot of their team are hard working players.

Couldn't be more wrong mate. United fan. I think Spain and City are a little over rated.

Yeah but they aint playing like they did in those competitions. That was then this is now. They were a better team four years ago. These things go in cycles. Obviously me thinking city are overated is mostly down to them being city! lol

At the moment I can't see past Germany. It appears that it could be their time. Just look at how Spain played against Croatia. Still a great side though, just not the best any more in my opinion.

Spain arent at their best but would still beat most teams in the Euros but Germany do look to have an edge
