Anything over 25 GBR golds would probably put him beyond the RFU budget.
Anything below 15 unacceptable for the RFU.
Anything in between will we hear Squeaky squeaking?

If he gets a job because of how well UK does at the olympics it would be a travesty. I don't want him anywhere near England. What can he offer? All he brought in was professional structure to a largely amateur England camp. You can't do that again.

He'd be good in an operational role, putting everything in place for the playing and coaching squads of all age groups, managing the support staff and ensuring a direct link between the RFU suits and the guys on the pitch. This leaves the coaches to actually coach, which is beneficial. He shouldn't be anywhere near coaching/selection matters, but I don't think he'd want to be.
I guess this is probably similar to the job Rob Andrew is supposed to do, but he's a bit of a joke really isn't he. Not sure how he's survived so long running a shambolic system. He like the boardroom version of Toby Flood!

Truth is SCW was`nt so clever when his best players were gone,or for that matter at the beginning of his career.Worse win stats than either Robinson or Ashton up to the time of there dismissal."Judge me on my RWC record" as well the RFU did`nt take him at his word after 1999.Had he been an ALL BLACKS Coach he would have been history.People seem to forget.Geoff Cooke,Jack Rowell and Dick Best all had good teams.Rowell and Cooke both had better stats. As to Squeaky he did well at developing talent within the England side. TheTeflon One still has his job and the vaunted RFU shake up has gone the way of the OOOZELUM BIRD it seems.
