Right just read this on the RBS Scottish Rugby Facebook page...

This in my veiw is pathetic. I always boast about our rugby coverage in SA and for us to not see this test is a travesty, they can't rightfully justify any reason not to broadcast this match unless Samoa has no TV cameras on their Islands, or customs deem them as evil and illegal.

Now I know that is not true because we are seeing all the pacific nation cup matches, so this is a choice made by some pinstriped suit in an oval office somewhere.

We are even seeing the IRB nations cup, which in my view has an even smaller worldwide audience.

There is no logic in this.

They claim it's because Samoa doesn't have a satellite uplink....

If someone really wanted to show the game though they'd make an effot to get a satellite there.

If it was England, Ireland or Wales you'd guarantee it would be on TV!

Well that answers it - Samoa haven't had a game at home yet so there's no comparison.

The issue is the infrastructure in Samoa.

The SRU have known that they were going to Samoa for a number of months now. Would have thought at somepoint someone would have thought to check TV coverage in Samoa rather than leaving it very late in the day?

Don't despair new statement on the SRU website saying that there may yet be hope...

With no UK broadcaster having acquired the rights to the fixture Scottish Rugby is working closely with both the Samoa Broadcasting Corporation Limited and the Samoa Tourism Authority to see if any additional live pictures might be available for supporters.

Samoa Tourism (via their Facebook page) hope to provide live streaming of the game, but Scottish Rugby cannot guarantee the quality or stability of the feed.

Discussions and testing will take most of today UK time so please check our website www.scottishrugby.org around 21.30 hours UK time tonight (Friday 22 June) for any updates.

The Samoa Broadcasting Corporation Limited will have cameras at the match but there is no live coverage on their networks in Samoa.

We are also working to ensure highlights footage of the game is available as soon as possible after the match via scottishrugby.org again we are reliant on the Samoan broadcasters providing the footage quickly post match.

We would like to thank the Samoan Broadcast Company and the Samoan Tourism Authority for their efforts to assist Scotland fans to see this important match.

Failing that I've asked the SRU people via twitter if they wouldn't mind video calling me on SKYPE just before kickoff, and pointing their webcam at the pitch...

I have seen Pacific nations cup games screened live from Apia Park. So clearly it can be done.

BREAKING NEWS: Tests are still being carried out but log on to https://www.facebook.com/SamoaTourismAuthority from 03.25am for a possible live webstream of the match.

Surely they should be able to know more than 5 minutes before kick off? I'll be very unhappy if come 3:25am there's no live stream...
