Lovely Haddie
We're not at Wimbers tomorrow, we just had a little get together beforehand because Rafa is in town.
It was too much for Rafan to do the queue this year, but the two of us are at Wimbledon proper on Friday.
Stay tuned here for all the gossip ... and no, I'm not a journalist, but I do like writing stories.

Re: Rafateers on Tour
Wooffie fantastic report as always. Thanks so much for taking the time to tell us all about it. I just love the way you bring it all to life for us and it really is the next best thing to being there ourselves.
Feeling very envious but very happy that you and Rafan had such a lovely time.

Thank you for that woofie I too remember watching Wiumby that long ago because there were no other matches televised then. It always has seemed a very very special place... and Oh so very English.. hardly surprising that the players love it so much there., Anyway glad you had a cracker of a day and you saw the boy play.. even if only for a set.

Woofs Great report as always....I can just see Rafan tugging at that Metro paper...that poor guy must have been terrified
It is a wonderful place....very british but without the elitist feel of Queens, I'm so glad it lived up to your expectations

I loved the report as well, Wooffie and it's great that you had such an enjoyable day depsite the damp ending. I wish I could remember all the little details like you do - it always just seems like a big blur to me afterwards.

Re: Rafateers on Tour
Thankfully I didn’t have to beg and plead with Rafan to think of my Old Lady tender calves and corns and insist upon taking the buses that are laid on to ferry spectators to the Club rather than walk up and down those interminable Wimbledon hills, as she suggested it herself. Perhaps she was getting wise and wished to avoid my incessant <moan> <moan> <moaning>
Yes...I was indeed getting wise Though it takes twice as long to get to Wimbledon on the bus when (1) the driver doesn't know the way and (2) on the way home a complete lack of sense of direction sent us towards the Southfield buses rather than the Wimbers one. If I'd had my way we'd have walked there and back - and could have shared Mo's umbrella on the way home!
But I'd like to thank Wooffs evah, evah so much for deeming me suitable to take with her on her return to Wimbledon and apologise for my <moaning> when Laura Robson was taking it to Maria

The Dame did proffer hers but it was refused - no concessions on the Wimbers buses! :run2:

Re: Rafateers on Tour
Oi you two!!
Aw Rafan ... You were a delight to be with, with your little hood up and your little pink face getting battered by the elements. And who else do I know that has such a hotline to Rafa.
And I loved being on that hot, steamy bus with you. So thank you for not suggesting we walked ...
Glad you liked the story girls. Just a shame we can't all be together at the same time to have the same experiences, but we try our bist, noh?
