Was reading the story of Homicide Hank Armstrong and it mentioned his irregular heart beat that enabled him to throw so many punches at an alarming rate. I was always led to believe by others that this was just an excuse to take away something from Armstrong's achievements. It got me thinking about other fighter's past/present who have freakish natural attributes. I know about Sam Langford and Sonny Liston who share a weird but effective wingspan but are their any others?

Valuev is an obvious 1.

You often get fighters with a good chin that is put down to abnormal skull thickness. Never quite sure how true it is though.

Fitzsimmons.

From the waist down he was skinny and unathletic, whereas from the waist up he was a bonafide heavyweight. Granted, his years as a blacksmith helped, but his broad back, shoulders and deep chest were natural.

I'd throw in the God given reflexes of men such as Nicolino Locche, also.

Reading Charley Burley's book at the moment and it says Fritzie Zivic had an X-Ray which proved this, whether it's true or not i'm not sure like yourself.

Nicolino Locche's defense relied on his natural reflexes, don't think he was the type to train hard and study his opponents game, such as Whitaker.

I've never quite worked out where Julian Jackson's power came from.

He didn't telegraph, it wasn't a particular punch, they didn't have to land flush, and they never looked that vicious until they landed.
