And the cupboard is bare, do we now play five bowlers?

England have a whole host of fast bowlers who are banging on the door so why not play to our strengths? Four quickies and Swann will have the Indians in fear, mark my words.

The only downside would be Trott/Bell opening and having a longer tail.

I don't think we will see Patel, LT. He isn't good enough as a bowler or a fielder to justify his inclusion.

Pace is India's weakness, so I expect we will go with that angle.

I just expect that we will see the sort of wickets seen in Sri Lanka. England will want to find room for Finn as he did well last year, but will also want a second spinner - thus why I think Patel will play (as he did in the 2nd test in Colombo)

Joe Root should open instead of Strauss giving a RH / LH combination.
