She´ll have to watch herself. She could be getting Andy all excited that he could win it too.

Re: US Open Day 5
well deserved, I worried that horrible line call/chair call at BP at 2-2 would put her off but it ended up just galvinising her. Fantastic win, this girl has finally arrived!

And Laura Robson has done it. She beats Li Na 6-4 6-7 6-2 to become the first British woman to reach the Fourth Round at the US Open for 22 years and first at a slam since 1998. Next up for Laura is another devilish match against Sam Stosur. Wow these points will send her catapulting up the rankings.

Re: US Open Day 5
What leads me to believe that she can go all the way is that she has beaten two great players and slam winners in back-to-back matches. The Clijsters win was great but she has backed that up with another great win straight away against Li Na. Now in the past we have seen shocks ie Rosol V Nadal but I think it is fair to say that was a one-off and he lost his next match meekly against an opponent he may have expected to beat - that spells fluke unlike Robson here. It is all about building for the future as she is still only 18. She has a great future ahead of her if she carries on in this vein.

Aargh! Just back from work - looks like I missed a great match. Amazing stuff from Robson.

In all honesty it wasn't much in terms of a spectacle, but because it was a Brit

Robson a superb performance. Still looking jangling on her serve, other than that she is an absolute brute from the back of the court.

Surprised to hear Baghdatis has never progressed beyond the 3rd round of the USO. Surely one of the biggest wastes of talent in the game?
Anyway, Dolgy leads 2-1 in sets.

Dolgy beats Baggy, Wawrinka wins a 5 setter, Isner v Nieminen is 1 set all.

Question:
Who is the better player at this moment in time; Raonic or Isner?

Spineless from Tomic. Roddick still a class above him, maybe the wrong guy is retiring.

Re: US Open Day 5
Kohli up a break in the 5th set. I cannot help it, whenever I watch a SHBH vs DHBH I invariably end up rooting for the single-hander. I even wanted to root for Paire, and am not even a fan of Kohli, yet I find myself cheering Kohli on.

Tomic is weird. Did not see the match today but he always looks so lethargic and half-disinterested that a 6:0 set almost seems appropriate.

Interesting. Murray v Isner I'd tip Murray to win, so Murray should be Raonic should they meet. He's a relatively unknown player to me as I've barely seen him play yet and it's terrifying.
