First topic message reminder :

One course to play out your retirement on...which would it be.
The only rule is you must have already played it.

Late to the party on this, but Kingston Heath, though the commute is a bit tough. In the UK how about Aberdovey?

I have Doon, its called Gt Yarmouth and Caister. Fun little holiday course, a few of the holes are a bit quirky but there are also some very good holes. Well worth playing if in the area thumbsup

I've lost a ton of money at the racetrack. Does that count?

I remember turning up and seeing thousands of caravans and a racetrack and thinking 'what am I doing here'.
Turned out to be a really good course with quite a bit of history.

That's a bit like the American tourist who complained about them building Stonehenge too close to the road

That's funny, I did not notice the caravan park at all! I must have been too busy watching my ball and when my partners were playing, then my eye was just drawn to Bass rock. Mind you, caravan park or no, I would still like to play The Glen more often. OK

enjoyed the glen on the whole. certainly is a pleasant walk, and would be lovely on a calm summer evening. 1st and 18th are a big let down for me. they should sell off the plot to the caravan site and pull the clubhouse up onto the clifftop - there is certainly space for a couple of well planned extra holes up there.
holes 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13-16 are good, 12 perhaps the best for me, a tough par 4 which i 6 putted for an 8... anyway game of two halves for me, nine 4s on the way out, followed by a very poor back nine, only real highlight was a birdie on 17 after melting a drive into the wind and knocking a 6i to 2ft.
off to kilspindie tomorrow. forecast not great, but looking forward to trying out my new irons i collected this morning.
