US Open Final PREDICTION thread

Ok, not who you want, or what's good for the game or anything like that but what do you think WILL happen?

I'm going for Murray in 4

I can't call this one way or the other. I would be surprised if it was straight sets and think that four sets might be the most likely outcome. But who to I cannot say. Murray seems to have a momentum but Djokovic is the defending champion.

I think the most likely outcome is Djoko in 4, but it could easily go to 5 sets; whilst Murray is logically the under-dog it's terribly tight and I very much hope that Murray breaks his duck here.

Murray has served a worthy apprenticeship and I think an extra proven 'slam winner' in the top rankings would add balance and unpredictability to the men's game. Let's see Andy M replace Andy R as one of the few slam winners playing in the men's game outside the 'big 3'.

I've gone for Djokovic in 4 but really none of the six outcomes would surprise me in the least.

Unfortunately the two biggest variables as I see them (the conditions and the mental state of the players) are the two I know nothing about!

I am surpised that I myself found the most likely outcome Novak in 4 sets. I have a lot of worries in this match and feel like Andy is somehow due an inspired performance but I just feel like still Novak is the better player and on his favorite surface over five sets he will get at the Murray that we have seen so far in the US hardcourt swing. Murray really in many ways was quite fortunate in the Cilic and Berdych matches. Still I really wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way 8-6 career H2H says it all, it is very tight in this matchup.
