First Luck passes up millions, now Mallett does this. Fully expecting Cam Newton to attempt to lower his stock any day now.

Well obviously. Just thought it was an entertaining connection. His agent has refuted the claims, claiming he was ill and in bed by 10pm. Something doesn't add up here, but if he slips all the way to the Eagles in the 2nd, I wouldn't be adverse to the pick.

There's no chance of him getting drafted at number one and Carolina doesn't have a second round pick.

This will have Mallet slipping. Reportedly getting smashed and missing a team meeting probably won't go down too well.

Maybe the personal issues teams are concerned about are very real issues, you could say maybe he's listening to all the hype about them taking Newton so he doesn't see them taking him but that's not really an excuse, he should want to go visit the team and show he's either worth the first pick or worth them trading down to get a second round pick.
