He's going to look fantastic at the Rumble after a couple of months eating beans and crocodile dong.

It's a 3 week show, I'd be amazed if he did it but it might be to get some mainstream recognition for wwe, about 10million people watch that nonsense.

It won't be about the fee, he gets millions for each movie role and I'm sure his wwe appearance fee isn't too shabby either.

There's only two reasons any of the z listers who do that show go on and that's to try and revive their flagging career or for the fee, rock earns millions from movies and is one of the top grossing moving stars of the last few years, I dont see why he needs or wants to do it, he's rich enough and is at the top of his game. Ric flair, hogan or pipper I could understand

More news on the rock is that he is not likely to appear at Elimination Chamber but is predicted to be at Wrestlemania, this maybe with or without the WWE championship.

More news is that WWE are struggling to come up with a solution: if Rocky wins the WWE Title at the rumble, there will be no wwe championship defences at live events or on raw for a 3 month period, if they decide to go with cena/Rock II for the title at Wrestlemania. However, the current plan is indeed for Rock to end CM Punk's title reign and win the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble and defend it at WM

Two problems I have

1. After a year and a bit of holding the title punk loses and then doesn't even cash in his rematch. Doesn't make sense

2. The main title goes completely missing until April and then changes hands (probably) at the first defence as Cena would no doubt win. Talk about devaluing the wwe championship

yes but that rule only applys when the company sees fit

The more I hear about it the more I am leaning towards the WM main event being a triple threat. Rock hasn't wrestled for a year, repeating a main event may not be popular and Punk has really taken the opportunity he has been given. All three things seem to suggest that it would work; while all three will have legitimate history so it wouldn't feel forced or cobbled together.

Yeah but cena has paid his dues in the last 2 manias to get the championship pin on the rock this year.

Agreed. Cena pins Rock clean. Then it allows Punk v Cena in the summer of 2013 (as Punk didn't lose) with Cena going over Punk to end that one.

I'd prefer a triple threat but I can't help but think cena has been promised his moment one on one in exchange for the last couple of years.

I would say that the main event would be bigger with Punk in there and given the rumours of Cena going off at Vince over story lines I would guess he would be keener to see an overall great event.

Plus, the last WM was lost a little because there was no clear heel. With Punk in there is would allow both to play the face.

Whose to say its 100% CM Punk vs The Rock at the Royal Rumble?

Yes there has been tweets, Raw 1000 ending etc to show that it probably will be, but its not 100%

John Cena or even Ryback may with at Survivor Series with one of them getting a rematch at TLC and wining then they face The Rock at the rumble and win.

Its too early to call anything. After TLC we will get a clear insight then make the guesses of what will happen come Wrestle Mania 29.

wwe do not have any idea what is happening tomorrow let alone rumble or wm, just look at the survivor series as an example. It really is a waste of time in my opinion to debate what will or wont happen because its all done on a whim anyway.
