Gundam series?
Anyone watched any of these?
I have just watched AGE and I thought it was ok, hadn't seen any Gundam series prior to it, just a few episodes 5-10 years ago. The family timeline I liked but I will list good n bad points below.
Characters:
Flit:
Asemu:
Kio:
Story
Well I thought this was ok for the most part, the timeskips bothered me a little as all we knew that happened is about 2 mins of dialogue in Kio's story as well as the last episode of Asemus story. We don't get anything else about the Federation or Vagan activities. I assume they just sit on their hands. The story isn't really dark throughout but there are moments of darkness in all 3 stories. The last few episodes seemed very rushed as we saw characters die and battles with Gundams last less than 1-2 minutes with noteable villians where as before that they lasted at least 3-5 mins and struggled.
Is it worth a look?
I would say so, it does get a bit stupid in the middle but if you love giant mech fights then consider this a 'popcorn show'

Characters:
Flit:
- Spoiler:
- As a kid you could relate and sympathise with him, as an adult yeah he is all work and that translates into him being a total doucebag as a grandparent! He is a stalwart Federation guy and I could understand why he hated Vagan, but for 60+ years come on...
Asemu:
- Spoiler:
- I hate this kid in his own story, purely because he has "Idiot Syndrome" yeah he has the pressure of being Flits kid and wants him to be a dad but come on, you acting like a Muppet is not the way to do it! He does give us decent development and is an excellent foil for Zeheart. In Kios story he is a real twist as he acts as the role model, but lets face it with Flit being nutty he is the best choice
Kio:
- Spoiler:
- I wish his arc wasn't as rushed as he kept the child like innocence throughout whilst staying away from Flits ideals which imo is a plus. He is the character most kids can connect with but mainly because hes better than kid Asemu as he doesn't do stupid Poopie. I am glad he sorted Flit out though and I liked his ideal of winning without killing.

Re: Gundam series?
I haven't seen Gundam yet but I did enjoy a similar anime called Code Geass which was awesome. I highly recommend it.
