klitscho vs povetkin?

im actually giving povetkin a chance, i rate him much higher than most, probably end up been a vitali/chisora type of fight where wlad wins 12 close rounds, that said if any heavy can beat wlad, povetkin can.

but he probably cant

Given the belief, especially amongst many on here, that Povetkin has been avoiding the brothers it will be interesting to see what he does now.

As he is the regular champion I would imagine that should he want to he could merely drop the belt and avoid Wlad. Then he could just fight tomato cans until they retire and most likely jump to the front of the line.

I do hope that he takes the fight though because whilst I don't give him much of a chance he will at least be a more difficult challenge than the undoubtedly gross mismatch rematch that we would have to endure should this fight not go ahead.

Easy win for Wlad, not been impressed with Povetkin and he was badly shaken up by cruiserweight Marco Huck not so long ago.

What I am surprised about, in a good way, is how regularly Wlad wants to fight. I can only see one winner, though.

Agreed bhb, that will be 4 fights in less than a year, fair enough a couple of over matched opponents but you can only face who wants to fight.

Think it will end up being a highlight reel KO for Wlad, he doesn't have the best of chins and lacks the power to worry Klitschko.

Wlad doesn't ever expend himself so can fight lots of times in a year unlike those who are in wars and need time to recoup

Easy win for Wlad but I doubt Povetkin will want the fight

Marco Huck is a decent (but not great) puncher at cruiserweight but still shook Povetkin up multiple times despite being outweighed by about 20+lbs that night

He doesn't move his head alot, so I expect Wlad to punch his head off after he starts tentatively behind the jab waiting for povetkin to gas

Im not intersted in this fight. I dont watch the heavyweights anymore because the standard is so bad since Lewis retired. People would be better off watching old fights of guys like Ali, Lewis, Tyson, Marciano, Frazier and Foreman they would realise then how bad todays heavyweights are and how overrated Klitschko is. I prefer watching older fights now because its a different league and you learn far more about boxing.

he's obsessed with lewis. How anyone can bring up Lewis on a thread regarding Wlad v povetkin is beyond me.

If Povetkin ducks he should be stripped, could always make Price vs Thomspon for the vacant title. I'm sure Fury would beg for the fight then
