Ex Crawley Hope Akpan comes on for Reading on 64 mins and they score on 71 and 77 mins to beat Newcastle 2-1.

Admittedly Adam Le Fondre came on on 70 mins and actually scored both goals, but sod it, I'm crediting Akpan!

He has made up for his lack of technical skill with hard work, people don't see that you need different typea of strikers. I do feel that Danny lacks confidence and composure when on in goal as he misses his shots or will go away from goal looking for support. If he is given time played through the middle (which will be extremely hard with the persie rooney an hernandez) he may get the strikers instinct.

Spurs deserved at least a draw they played well we sat back from kick off looking to hit them on the counter, Carrick was phenomenal stopped thier attacks with blocks and interception.

Besides the point grumpy guts, I prefer the sense of something different and it's compelling to see if Ray Lewis can go out with an SB win. He'll have a lot to do to contain the SF running game and Kaepernick.

49ers will steam roller the Ravens. No way the Ravens (struggled against the run all year) will be able to handle Kaepernick and the 49ers read option.

Flacco also up against a decent secondary, not our urine poor one that might as well have not turned up 2nd half. He'll also have a pass rush in his face, which is yet another thing we can't do.

Bloody crap we were last night 2nd half. Worst half of football I seen us play all season

I don't see the 49ers steamrolling to victory at all. I think it will be a very tight game to be won by a single score. The NFL always has drama and I don't think this one is any different. Particularly as the 9ers seem unable to generate their pass rush at the moment, and I think they can be got at with a long ball, which is exactly what Flacco is good at.

2 more weeks for Justin Smith to get healthy. 2 weeks for Jim Harbaugh to get a gameplan together, look what they did to the Packers with 2 weeks off!

That 49ers D held Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan to what just over 50 points, and Rodgers scored some in garbage time. If they can't get it done against the 9ers D, no way Flacco can.

Colin Kaepernick and the read option against those Ravens LB's. Should be funny, he'll just whizz past them. 49ers 5-0 in superbowls in franchise history. I can't see anyway the Ravens win this game, I would struggle to have seen the Pats beating them too, only my support would have given me any hope

Brady was 3-0 in Super Bowls before he met the Giants, it makes little difference what history tells you.

Ryan probably would have had more success had it not been for White falling down and gifting a pick, and for the performance of the linebackers. I think with Smith over the top and Boldin underneath they will be able to keep it close.

I don't want to make too much of Kaepernick's performance against Green Bay. Green Bay are terrible at containing runners.

I watched a bit of Inter/Roma last night in between ad breaks. Inter need to get younger. Tommaso Rocchi was coming on for them.
