PLEASE NOTE - this season you will receive a 1 point deduction if you do not submit tactics (as well as a default loss) and a 1 point deduction if you do not vote. If you know in advance you are unable to do either, then you must state so on the Holidays/Days Off page, to avoid the penalties.

4 groups of 3 and 2 cup games for each makes more sense tbh. The format is fine barring a randomised draw.

ive got 2 choices,

we are having no group byw weeks
either 4 through
or top 2 in each with best 2 group winners earning a bye
3v6
4v5
then
1vlowest ranked winner
2v highest ranled winner

bit like the nfl play-offs

Please keep it simple.

Random draw, 4 groups of 3. Group winners go through to semis.

That fits in nicely in terms of number of games, with the league fixtures

Tottenham midfielder Andros Townsend has been charged with alleged betting offences by the Football Association.

The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of the season on loan at QPR, has until 3 June to respond.

He has withdrawn from England's Under-21s European Championship squad, with Birmingham's Nathan Redmond drafted in.

"Townsend will receive the full support of the FA and Tottenham in seeking rehabilitation while responding to the allegations," the FA said.

Vermaelen did look good in Holland, and looked good both defensively and from corners when he joined Arsenal. But his first major injury scuppered his form and he's never recovered from it. You've got to be a poor defender to have Per Mertesacker ahead of you!

See, when Vermaelen arrived at Arsenal, all the hype I saw was because he scored a few goals, not because he was a sound defender. Koscielny and Mertesacker were a much better partnership.

This was what I said in his first season at Arsenal. I couldn't see what the fuss was about and came to the conclusion it was his goals return and not much else

Trebs is doing the live text so send him the result once you have it. I know Cherries volunteered but Trebsbgot there first.

It'd be quite easy to write something creative to add the cup game to the live text, maybe they're using two stadiums side by side. A later kick off would just make the text doubly long.
