Moderator Required

As the rugby board is going to get busier over the next month (and is already picking up), its about time to get a rugby moderator on board.

The role will require the person to keep an eye on this board for things like duplicate posts, wums and general anti social posting. You will have the ability to lock, delete and merge threads.

The successful candidate should still consider themselves a normal poster for 99% of the time and only put on their moderator hat if need be - we dont want the mod to stop enjoying being a regular poster!

The other admins and mods will also help out where needed (as is the case now) but this is a great way for you to all vote for the best person for the job.

In case anyone is missing it, I have moved the six nations subsection into international for another year.

Should make things a little tidier.

I would volunteer hobo but i can only be on here at weekends and on holidays, because of boarding school and everything.

I wouldn't mind doing it if it doesn't take too much time, but I can't always guarantee being available. Is it possible to give it a go and pass on the responsibility at a later date if it turns out to be too much work?

At the moment, very little moderation (if any) has been needed on the rugby board, but it will get busier as you have all already stated.

I am happy for you to put your name forward on a trial basis - every mod should be reviewed periodically anyway.

We are not asking people to come on more than they already do, just to keep an eye out when they are on.

to be honest, the modding of the board should be done by everyone - in other words, if there is a wum/ thread to be deleted etc then it can and should be reported by anyone who spots it.

If the rugby mod is on duty, they can deal with it, if not, then flag it to any other moderator/ admin who is on.
