Week 2 - Premier League Results

Dos Cereveza por favor 1-1 Under Brescia
Villa; Jovetic

My main problem is this game is that theres 0 pressure on Pirlo who will sit and dictate the game in midfield. Dos set up well defensively but I like UB to make pressure tell with their control of the game.

Lot of respect shown by each team here and the caution rubs off on the players as they play out a goalless draw. UB are hurt by their injuries and perhaps the lack of that game changer costs them a close victory.

thisnkthe back 3 can cope and with theWBs coming backform a solid line, the 3 man midfieldwin there but cantbraek down a solid line, the CB for bresica are good but the fron 3 cause problems, Favor look the morebalcned of theteams around the field and win a tight encounter.

Found it hard to separate these two well organised teams. Dos Cervezas por favour attacked well but wouldn’t found a break through. They used their width well & worked very hard to switch from 5-4-1 defence to 3-4-3 attacking. Under Brescia’s central midfield were coming out on top allowing supply to the front men but they struggled to break down a rigid defensive formation. As the game went on Under Brescia fullbacks pushed further up field & were caught out of positions a few times. This forced Buffon into action on a number of occasions making some great saves, Under Brescia would of lost had it not been for his performance in the last 10 minutes.

No Respek FC 2-1 Bratwurst Mannschaft
Ba, Ben Arfa; Mandzukic

I don't like Pato being tasked to get around Montolivo. Its a not a job he'd relish nor perform that well and leaves him very deep when Mannschaft win the ball. A midfielder would've been a better choice. With that, and an extra man in midfielder I like No Respek to win the midfield.

I can’t really see the BM midfield getting much of a foothold in the game, with a well balanced NR midfield exploiting the extra men. The full backs are attackingly talented and I can see them being too much for their opponents. One thing for Azzy to consider may be squad depth.

Another close game butquality of No Respeks line up gets them the win, the right side of NR ise xposed with theFB winegr combo but that is it, a solid pair of CB mostly deals with the strikers and asolidmidfield wins the battle,Ba is marked throughout and is mostly dealt with but genreral quality wins the game NR have most the play and comeout winners.

Great game from two attacking teams, No Respek should feel hard done. Bratwurst Mannschaft bossed the center of the pitch with the hard working Cleverley & Bander. Pato helped out dropping onto Montolivo who was playing deep but an unexpected formation No Respek allowed them to restrict the Bratwurst Mannschaft threat on the wings. With No Respek winning with 15 minutes left, Defoe came on to little effect. With Gaitan and Shaqiri both comfortable coming inside they proved to be the difference as Bratwurst Mannschaft substitutions & all out attack changes overwhelmed No Respek in the final stages of the match.

Pass the Deutschie 1-2 Deportivo la Chorizo
Rodriguez; Soldado, Tello

Deutschie set up better this week, and with more weapons to harm Deportivo on the break. I like them to hold out for a draw.

Gregers identified the weak point in Viva’s team and they exploit the full backs for the win. Tactics from Viva are good but the personnel aren’t able to match their opposition and once Depor score one I think they will be able to exploit the extra space and add a couple more.

Chorizo get the better of the Duetchie defence, simspon is got at and soldado recieve excellent service, also felt that is similar formation Chorizo edge themidfield and generally dicvtated the game, Deutschie have a good team but a better defence is needed,it can begot at,

Bore draw today with Pass the Deutschie still lacking that killer instinct in attack to finish off their chances. Deportivo la Chorizo looked like the home team for large periods of the match, Pass the Deutschie defended very well but still have Fridel to thank for pulling off two great saves to deny Soldado & Ménez. Quagliarella missed a handful of chances opting for power over precision. The introduction of Huntelaar was a positive, he should of started ahead of Quagliarella. Deportivo la Chorizo played an all round good game, just didn't have lady luck on their side & today wasn't their day.

Kudos to the person who spotted that asking a striker to man mark a defensive midfielder wasn't tactically astute Wink

Relieved to win the game, Trebs has some great players in his side.

BOOOOOM Michele Fornasier scored for the Under 21's last night against Liverpool.
Watch out Soddy, he will be scoring against you in our cup match this week!
Liverpool played Raheem Sterling, Jonjo Shelvey and Andre Wisdom.

Moleicester City v Spanish Bank

Vertonghen at LWB was an odd choice for Bank, and while Benteke had a blinding game Mole City's front four were supreme. Mole City with the 2-1 win.
Both sides are missing critical players today through injury and it shows as the two sides grind out a very competitive score draw. Bank have a quality line up now but could do with getting in some better players to cover when the likes of Alba are out. Moleceiester for me lack the balance that Capoue provides them with as Scholes isn't going to be able to keep a lid on the attacking flair of Bank.

Good defending by Bank stopping the strikers of City getting much space limiting the chances. City did get crosse into box but the attackers were marked out, I think Scholes should not have been instructed to chase players as he lacks the skills and tires out.

Spanish Bank are improving and getting there but Moleicester City have a lot more quality in their side which won them the points today. They should have taken Scholes off before the 90 minutes for me though as I don't think he is capable of coping for that long. The Bankers need o get more quality in their side with better players able to help Benteke out more who seems the only attacking player able to make something happen.

A fantastic game between two teams that really did their homework - both sets of tactics picked up on key players and tactics, which led to a very open, attacking game. Spanish Bank had a very solid back three which coped well with Michu, but Di Natale was a handful and the wingers had good games. On the other side, Aspas was well handled, but Benteke was too strong for his CB marker and Rakitic had a fine game in the middle. A good draw for both teams.
Really difficult to separate both sides as both had a decent set-up and were both tactically very well set-up and instructed. Both exploited what they saw as the weaknesses well and it led to a high scoring draw.

Murder on Zidane’s Floor v Atalanta Falcons
Murder with a nice balance and very good attacking wingers and fullbacks. Atalanta also had exceptional attackers and it made for a very high scoring draw. 3-3.
For me this is a game dictated by Reus and El Sharaawy being put out wide which allowed Hernanes to shine against Mbia. Verratti from deep is always a struggle for opponents to play against and I don't think that Zidane fully set up for this. Lampard/Kroos/Pedro is frightening but Biglia is able to prevent them from overunning Atlanta.

Murder did their homework stopping the attack of Reus and El Shawaray which blunted the atack of Falcons and work rate of midfield overpowering Falcons who I think need to bring in a more powerhouse in the DM role to combat teams in the physical department.

A difficult game to split the two sides. Murder dealt well with Reus and El Shaarawy and in Chicharito upfront were able to force the opposing centre backs to stay further back. The issue is nothing was done about the threat of Hernanes who had a lot of space in the middle. Falcons put in a good performance but should be playing Reus and El Shaarawy narrower for me as they have a better side on paper.

Two of the best teams in the league, and what a game! FC Murder had a very attacking line up, with the 4-1-4-1 and two attacking FBs, which meant that they were exposed to the pace and direct attacking of Reus and El Shaarawy. Mbia couldn't handle Hernanes either. FC Murder were excellent going forward, but they were just too offensive-minded to cope when Atalanta had the ball.

Again two well set-up teams, but in the end I felt the attacking flair of the Atalanta trio behind the striker was too much for the Murder defence and that gave them the win

FC ElphickForJustice v VFL Bassender
Cherries had a better system and utilised it well with the Juve wingbacks and the more balanced CB's than before. Bassender were pretty attacking and it was a close game but ElroyJetsonforJustice did just enough to earn the win. 2-1
Bassender are getting their but need better tactics if they are to stand a chance, Elphick just about do enough in this one for me and a late Lamela goal gets the points for them. I don't rate Rossi much anymore if I'm honest and don't think Lallana is best used out wide. Elphick need to identify how they want to play as the whole team feels thrown together to me.

Not much quality in the game, Bassender put in what they deserved nothing. Rolfes was played as AM but was told to protect the defence. Justice maybe could bring in a little more creativity in the centre when they can't get ball through wide positions.

Elphick sat deep and parked the bus to keep a clean sheet today. Going forward they have the likes of Lamela and Nocerino who can instigate attacks but Le Fondre is not good enough to play at this level. Bassender did nothing of note all game with Rolfes not suited to an attacking midfield role, if anything Strootman should be the AM and Rolfes the DM. On paper their side is improving even if I am not a fan of Adebayor or Rossi at the moment.

A close game between two teams starting to sort themselves out. FC Elphick have a good back five, with very good wingbacks that gave them the edge on the flanks. Bassender's strikers were ineffective against FC Elphick's CBs, and that's what let them down.

A really tight affair that could have gone either way, but in the end I don’t think Bassender had enough creativity to break E4J down, especially Rolfes playing AM, where he was ineffective. E4J got the edge as they had the more potent attack, particularly from their wingbacks and therefore they edged it.

What!!! Mbia wasn't marking Hernanes, why have two people mentioned it? Mbia was doubling up with fullbacks.
This did allows Hernanes too muh space though, Obgnna was watching for the oncoming attack from deep mid i.e Hernanes. but that's my fault, I set up for slightly different formations than the one used.
Verratti from deep is always a struggle for opponents to play against and I don't think that Zidane fully set up for this.
What a load of fiddlesticks, did you read my tactics? I have one man on him at all times yet I didn't set up for it?!?!?! Shocked
Biglia able to prevent Lampard, Kroos & Pedro Laugh Hes not Andrea Scholes+ you know!
I wont lie that's annoying, I clearly have instructions in tactics to address these thing but they have "fallen on deaf ears".

Most of the feedback indicates a draw, I don't understand how the win votes are 1-3. More detailed feedback would be appreciated people, not just "there attack was too much for their defence so they win". That's not much of a help to someone who wants to improve.
I put a good amount of detail in my feedback & I will continue too as it helps pretend managers to identify & improve.

Good Game Soddy OK bring on the cup match then the return fixture.
Well that's my toughest league game out the way with for a while so onto the next match.

The thing with Mbia is that, on the pitch, he and Hernanes would take up the same space, so with Mbia gone, Hernanes would have free reign.

Biglia taking out those three Laugh
