Yachvili cited for stamping - no hearing for 3 weeks!!!!
Only just noticed this - Yachvili cited for stamping in recent Top14 game against RM - link below (skip to 1h 50m into clip). Looks really bad - worse than Healy on Cole - a ban seems likely but incredible that the French will not hold a disciplinary hearing until March 13th - almost three weeks after the game.

PS - wasn't sure whether this should have gone on the international or club threads, but given that Yachvili isn't in French panel any more stuck into clubs thread.

Initially he is trampling (almost tap dancing) on the man - butthen while standing on him with the right leg raises the left leg up and stamps down.
Agreed worse than Healy - none of the blows have the same force as Healy imparted (but the last is close) but there is so much more stamping by Yachvilli.

..and the hooker has a go when hes done as well which is kinda classy
First and last are stamps, rest is stepping.
the story here though is what the hell is going on with delaying the hearing? Is this to ensure hes available for France should they require him? if so its a really poor show.

Is it delayed? Anyone know how long they usually take?

Interesting, Parisse (allegedly) verbally insults the ref, gets rushed into his hearing and told his 6N is over. Yachvili physically assaults somebody not in the least cowardly way but doesn't have to worry about it for 3 weeks.
I'm beginning to have serious reservations about the way the game is run in France. 3 weeks sounds anything but coincidental to me.

Knowsit, Yachvili, for his skillset, doesn't seem likely to replace PSA's 1st choice Maxi Machenaud or one of the best 9s in the world, Parra so I don't think it's that. May be an anti-foreigner bias though

More stamping, but arguably at least Yach only had a small area to aim for, whereas Healy CHOSE the ankle according to some folk?LondonTiger wrote:Initially he is trampling (almost tap dancing) on the man - butthen while standing on him with the right leg raises the left leg up and stamps down.

IRB regulations were only recently updated to shorten the length of time before cases are held:
17.15.8 Where a Player is the subject of a citing complaint, his case should, wherever practicable, be heard ordinarily within 48 hours and no later than 72 hours of the conclusion of the Match in which the cited alleged Foul Play occurred.
I guess the French translation hasnt been done yet.
