Style Changers!

Afternoon Folks

Been away a while with the Easter break. Hope everyone had a nice few days off. I'm struggling getting back in the routine!

Anyhoo's I recently watched SRL Vs Duran1 and 2. I have seen them before but a long time ago. I was very impressed with the way SRL changed his style from one fight to another. With SRL being a boxer - standing toe to toe with Duran was always getting to be extremely tough. The return bout saw him revert to type and we all know what happened. NO MAS!!

The ability to change a style and win at the highest level is an incredible feat, only attributed to fighters of the highest calibre and ability.

My question is this - which other fighters have changed their style considerably to defeat an opponent - this can be mid fight, pre fight or in a rubber match.

Recently there was Froch over Abraham. Khan changed his style a bit after having his face punched off by Prescott. Calzaghe changed things up a bit mid-Kessler. Ali surprised people against Foreman.

Bernard Hopkins has changed his style not in a particular fight but in general. One of the few fighters who have adjusted to losing some of the skills they had in their prime and managing to stay at the top of the sport.

Matthew Saad Muhammad famously changed from master boxer to brawler following a close decision loss to Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.

MAB, change from a brawler to a boxer. Change his style for the Hamed fight.
