WWE issued a breaking news alert on Wednesday afternoon announcing that World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion at Tuesday night’s SmackDown taping from Raleigh, North Carolina.

According to WWE, the concussion took place during a match between Big E Langston and Jack Swagger.

WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson says, “He was having some memory difficulties and a bit of a headache … he definitely has a concussion,” said Sampson. “We’re checking him out, and going to be doing neuropsychological testing and just keep it monitored.”

The neuropsychological tests will provide WWE medical officials with a “baseline” from which to monitor Ziggler's progress in the coming weeks.


hopefully it isn't so bad that he has to drop the world title because if he does have to then it'll most likely end up back on the boring del rio

But seriously he is a heel and has a posse around him, not hard for the writers to get him to avoid blows to the head for a few weeks.
