Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Fury has improved abit over the last several months but for me he is still a very average plodder. He has good dimensions for a heavy with his size but he hasnt got the ability to utilise them properly. His mouth is printing cheques that his hands cant cash. The sooner he gets a nice beating the better for me.
Im hoping Fury can make it personal with Haye in the build up as id like to see Haye really let his hands go as Fury's chin isnt the best.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Fury will make every effort to make it personal but it will fail as Haye knows he wins this one every day of the week and twice on a Sunday. I look forward to Fury endlessly bring up Haye's toe whilst Haye responds by asking Fury if he's going to uppercut himself again and save himself the embarrassment of being KO'd in front of the cast of "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding"

As there still isnt any confirmation of this happening (unless I missed it), I just texted Peter Fury for an official word on it.

In fact, it may be better all round if this fight didn't happen as it's leaving a sour taste in the mouth already and isn't even official.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
I am but I fail to see how beating Fury does anything to advance his claims that he deserves a shot against the K's. People can talk all the **** they like about Fury's ranking but, putting that aside, the guy is actually utter garbage.
Perhaps my dislike of Fury as a "character" is playing a part but I'd much rather watch Haye fight the likes of Charr or basically anyone else than Fury who is nothing short of a circus attraction.
Yeah, s*d it, let's get Haye and Fury on and hopefully we can put an end to the Tyson Fury story once and for all.

I dont care if this Tinkywinky is on holiday gobbing off and not spelling things correctly. He is a giant bum who will milk his proposed upcoming media attention purely on David Hayes account.

No different from Haye against Wlad then , it seems the quote function doesnt work at my workplace.
Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Best way to quote something is to highlight the text you want, copy it and paste it in to the quick reply box.
Then highlight it and hit the speech bubble icon above - hey presto!

At least Haye had already won the CW title and the HW title and defended it (irrespective of how poor many considered his opposition to be).

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
True but you cant criticise Fury for cashing in especially against Haye of all people - both of them got to to where they are against semi decent opposition and with their mouths. This does the square root of Frak all for hayes title ambitions/rematch against wlad but its fair enough for taking the fight. Mobile seems to hate fury for doing against Haye what Haye did against Wlad.

Write this guy off against Haye...but remember Chisora had his moments....and that muppet he fought before Valuev decked him...

Not quite writing him off - its just theres a huge jump between who he has been fighting and haye, I just lean towards Haye - simply because of what we already know. If Fury puts a beating on haye or even beats him it'll make him go up several notches in my estimation but for now Haye is favourite

The button at the extreme right end of the top icon/toolbar jobby turns off the new pesky text box.
For some reason my cursor just wouldn't leave the new text box so I just turned it off and everything's all old skool again.

In fact I wouldn't even put Fury on a level with the likes of Michael Grant.
So what is Haye supposed to do? Go back in time and fight better HWs? Haye got ripped in the past for talking his way undeservedly to a title shot. Now he's trying to fight some solid top ten opposition (which, no matter which way you look at it, Fury is - at least in this era of guff HWs he is) and Haye's getting stick again. The K-bros say he has to earn his shot. This will help with that. I thought this is the way boxing was supposed to work: you beat the contenders and you get your shot. No use in saying that Fury is no good. He's good enough to be considered top ten in this day and age - that's all that matters.
Haye can only beat what's in front of him. He was rightly criticised for the Audley fight because Audley wasn't ranked. But Fury is. The argument against the Fury fight would only hold water if there were numerous better alternatives for Haye. There aren't though. No point in bemoaning the fact that the top 10 HWs of today don't compare to those of yesteryear. We all know that.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
I dont think Haye was intimidated by the Klitschkos at all. You could tell as much from the build up. If anything I think it as the Klitschkos who were rattled. It was Wladimir Klitschkos style that made the fight they way it was. He just used his size and his reach to jab away at Haye from a istance. It wasnt that Haye was intimidated. He just couldnt get close enough past the reach and size differance. It was Wladimir Klitschko who fought like he was the one more intimidated. He was far bigger than Haye but still fought as if he was afraid to take a punch. Fury is an entirely different prospect because he is far more physical and aggressive than Wladimir Klitschko. I think Haye might be more intimidated Fury because he knows Fury will look to come and bully him and try an knock him out whereas Wladimir Klitschko just wanted to stay in his safety zone. I think Haye will fight cautiously and spend his time trying to avoid Fury much like he did against Valuev and then look to try and land a big one.

Wlad intimidated by Haye. Funniest thing i have heard in ages. Wait. He's serious!! Also how dare Wlad use his physical attributes in a boxing match, how very dare him.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Well bhb - you could se that wlad was intimidated as he was chasing Haye around the ring. If he'd been confident he'd be the one running away
Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Wladimir Klitschko is easily intimidated. You can tell by the way he fights that hes a very cautious person who is afraid to get hit. I think Haye did himself more harm than good by getting in Wlads face in the build up and threatning to knock him out because it ended up making Wladimir more cautious than ever and he just jabbed away at Haye and never got in close to go for the knockout himself. It wasnt a confident performance by Wladimir. In Furys last fight he had a much smaller opponent similar to Haye and he went looking for the knockout. He got knocked down but he was able to get back up and knock his opponent out. They are completely different style fighters. Fury doesnt mind taking a punch to go for the knockout but Wladimir fights like he is afraid to get hit. Hes not imtimadting at all. With Fury you have a boxer who is going to come at you and try to knock you out so I can see Haye being much more wary of Fury.

Wladimir is entitled to box whatever way he wants but from a viewers perspective its terribly unsatisfying when you see a massive 6 foot seven man fighting a guy half his size in the manner of a wimp. Those tactics wouldnt be effective against somebody like Fury or Wilder because they are bigger than him and fight aggressively.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Wlad's KO ratio is one of the best ever at over 80%. This is not a passive style. It isn't very entertaining either, I will agree. It is, however, very effective and it is up to the people fighting him to figure out how to unlock it. He has been successful with it against all comers, small and big alike, and has ducked no one despite your claims. The last two fighters were both unbeaten, as is his next one. They also stood at 6'5" and 6'7 1/2" respectively, putting to shame your argument that he picks only on small fighters that he can impose himself on physically. Wilder has never fought a top ten opponent. Price was knocked out in his last fight by someone Wlad beat recently. Fury refused to take a fight for a mandatory position; mabe for good financial reasons IF a fight with Haye happens, but he is the one that pulled out of this fight and the last time with Price. The more you push your ridiculous arguments that even I can drive a bus through, the more everyone appreciates Wlad. For a WUM, it seems that you are the one who gets the most wound up!! Ironic at least.

Wladimir Klitschko couldnt even knock Haye out who is tiny in comparison. Look at who the big names in the division are. They are Wilder and Fury. Why arent the Klitschko brothers offering to fight these guys instead of their sparring partners? It looks like they consider them too risky. Some of the guys they have fought might be unbeaten but they are hopeless. I saw his last fight and I swear the guy he was fighting was one of the worst heavyweights I have ever seen. He did absolutley nothing. Wladimir just jabbed away at him as per usual. It was awful. Fury, Wilder and Price are miles better and far more dangerous.

Haye will box like haye....like a cruiserweight with a cruiserweight chin bit with a heavyweight punch. Cautious but looking.
Fury will fight like a gypsey - full of heart which will be his undoing. Fury to convince himself he's the BIGGER man and walk onto something MONSTROUS.

Neither Wilder or Fury have earned a shot at the champions. In fact Fury just walked away from purse bids for a fight that could have made him a mandatory.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
I dont see why there would be a major objection to the Haye v Fury fight. The fight makes perfect sense to me. Most importantly, its a dead cert to be a commercial success. But at present, both fighters are top ten ranked almost across the board with every credible ranking system out here. The WBC might well establish it as an eliminator for leaving the winner an excellenct chance of either getting a mandatory shot at Vitali or well placed for the vacant title. Even if Fury loses, as long as he puts in a reasonably credible display then I cant see it hurting him and he will be well compensated financially an in terms of the profile boost he recieves. Haye must feel like Christmas has come early if he can get the fight made but as it is now its a legitimate fight. Although I expect Haye should win this Im still curious as to how it would pan out I must say and if Fury can make a better go of it than many people predict.
