Do we need umpires?

Given that umpires have been revealed as largely incompetent by DRS, confirming the suspicions of many fans over many years, is it time to consider if we should do away with them altogether?

The on field umpires got 0% of decisions right this morning and just under 50% for the series so far.

Add to this the Farsical debacles over going off for bad light randomly one has to wonder why these guys continue to get indulged. 

Is it time to replace the on field dual umpires at the top level with a in field administrator who counts out overs and holds the jumpers and refer every decision to on off field DRS technician?

Well i feel bit different from you. Today was a bad day for the umpires and yup now we questioning because we have DRS to check the. looking back at the Sydney Test 2007-08 between Ind and Aus. 11 wrong decisions were against us and 2 against aussies, so it happens.
Removing on field umpires will eventually lead to a make the game an orphan.

Huh? Orphan? What? Don't get it.

 Surely 11 wrong calls is just more proof that umpires aren't up to it?

Well Umpires look all the ups and down of a match and try to take it truly towards its completion set asiding the conflicts. And after all they are also humans so mistakes would be there, we need to have some faith on them.

Umpires do more than just make decisions. They are also on field referees. They will quite rightly always be around.

 That sounds like corruption to me...

May be you feel like corruption here but still we can have faith on them for taking one game to completion following ethics.
