First topic message reminder :

Thought I'd pop one of these up...

Norwich currently beating Bury 3-0, Ravel Morrison gives Dolphin a boner with a goal on full debut

MK Dons currently leading Sunderland 2-0 meaning Sunderland players shall be starved tomorrow

Peterborough absolutely spanking a strong Reading side as well

Most of us though the name had lost its appeal 4th. But getting Mata is a big step in steadying the ship

The Manchester United name appeal left a long time ago I think, teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich even Chelsea and Manchester City are more likely to beat United to transfer targets. Money talks more than history does.

I agree.
Whenever United show a keen interest in a player who also happens to have another major Europeon side interested, United almost certainly will lose out.

Great tackle by Kompany there, think that makes up for the first goal. Not sure why that lino didn't put his flag up.

they wont be saying that if they lose 1-0, that mistake would have cost them the cup.

Funny how they went from facing an early exit to MK Dons in August to leading (and possibly winning) the final against Man City.

Game over.

Fletcher what on earth was he doing up the other end, idiot.

Sunderland gave it a good go, fair play to them. Always going to be City's day.

You'd have said that in the FA Cup final last year

Oh that was rather enjoyable.

The referee let the game flow as much as he could, so well done to him. Three marvellous goals in the game, and one neat counter-attack.

A lush one by the lush Fabio Borini, although it was very poor defending by the centre-half pairing. I do feel rather sorry for a man of Kompany's talents having to play alongside that oaf. Feel even more for Lescott.

Then a wonder goal by Toure. Expertly placed, and turned the game completely. I'll cheerfully ignore how it shouldn't have been allowed because it was so beautiful.

Then Nasri; what a lash. Tidy, composed counter-attack to end it all.

Impressed with Sunderland; they were more positive on and off the ball than I thought they may be. But City too good in the end.

Very good final. A welcome relief from some of the dirge on show at the Champions League. An actual game. clap clap clap

Gutted we lost that final but I can't fault the team for the way they played. Poyet wanted the win and you can see how he set the team out to go about it.

The lads did themselves proud. Citeh fans were canny quiet until they scored (I was in a box in their end  Cool

Now lets hopefully beat Hull this Sunday and get ourselves back to Wembley again, this time not against Citeh  laughing
