Yahoo Fantasy League

Set up a league on NFLUK but there's only four of us at the moment. Drafting Sunday 29th at 8pm.

I think I've joined haha. This will be my first fantasy NHL season, so hoping this will be a good one! Can someone explain (as simply as possible) please? Do we pick players now or wait for the draft?

We're drafting tonight Azzy! We have odd number of teams so rearranged the draft for tonight at 8:45.

Drafted in the 606hl league last night. Went 9th in a 10 team league.

C - Patrick Kane, Anze Kopitar, Joe Thornton, Lars Eller, Cory Conacher
LW - Chris Kunitz, Max Pacioretty, Brandon Saad, Alex Steen
RW - Jakub Voracek, Marian Hossa, Brendan Gallagher, Kyle Okposo
D - Alex Pietrangelo, Drew Doughty, Niklas Kronwall, Alex Goligoski, Nick Leddy, Ryan McDonagh
G - Pekka Rinne, Brian Elliott

My thoughts:

C - plenty of assists, not sure Eller and Conacher will do much though.
LW - I like Kunitz and Max Pac, but will Saad play top 6 this season? I think he's slated for 3rd line duties at the moment?
RW - Voracek's big season coming up, so too Okposo. Hossa is due a good one and Gallagher is a sophomore question mark. I like this group.
D - Great goals + assists coming from this lot, some PIMs too, plenty of PPG and possibly 1 or 2 SHP. +/- will be big I reckon.
G - Rinne is great, Elliott may have a fallaway season, not sure about him yet.

Overall a pretty well-rounded draft!

Drafting policy: as many Canucks as possible, no Oilers, Flames, Habs, Jets, Sens or Leafs. No Ducks, Sharks, Hawks or Bruins. No Red Wings, Preds, Stars or Avs.

I'm hopeful Gallagher night get to step up and Eller was my last pick.

It should be quick tonight. Last night lasted just over an hour and there was 210 picks. We'll only have 6 teams if we can draft.

If I can get the exact same as my mock draft, I'd be extremely happy!

Okay, when I get home I'll plead my case. My lad now goes to sleep at 7pm ish, so I should be okay for an 845 start. Although I'd need to set myself up by 745pm, right?

Think the draft lobby opens 30 minutes before the draft so I guess you'll have until around that time.

For someone who I picked up on free agency, after the draft in my other league, Lars Eller is doing ok I'd say.

Hes been a big surprise, despite being 3LC. Good for him.
