Your Golf:Sex Ratio?

A comparison was made several times on the "how often do you think about golf" thread between how often you think about sex as well as golf.

So lets think about the only other thing that compares to golf in terms of enjoyment, and whether you have the ratio at a sensible level.

I guess the first question is a simple matter of what is your golf:sex ratio?

Secondly is this how you would like it to be?

Could you shift your focus in order to achieve a more ideal balance?


It would also be interesting to hear some stories about sacrifice one for another. For example have you skipped an early medal tee time if you happen to have a sexy and willing partner in bed when you woke up? Or have you sneaked out of a date to get some extra putting practice in the day before a big comp?

Does anyone practice abstinence in the lead up to a big event?

Could you shift your focus in order to achieve a more ideal balance? What give up golf whilst I go on the pull until I unearthed the required nymphomaniac? No I am what I am, if I'm destined to be with a sex mad hottie she'll find me soon enough.

I did get 2 dates in with a really nice girl earlier this year but she did seem a bit "emotionally needy" and dare I say it anti-golf. The crunch came on one of the May bank holiday Monday (the day of the 3rd date). Txt'd her in the morning to say I was sneaking an early round in before the weather broke and was looking forward to seeing her that afternoon. Got several vitriolic txts back saying I was obsessed with golf and not what she was looking for plus some abuse. Sheeesh!! Issues or what!! Regardless of how lovely she was I just couldn't be attached to a girl that was so anti golf that each round would have to be negotiated with the skill of the UN diplomatic service.

On the other side of the scale I did have access to a rather excellent FB for a while and I remember having her round one morning, a good hearty and lengthy morning session was followed by a round with mates on The Oxfordshire in the afternoon...shot a very relaxed 75 (4 under handicap). So...as long as it doesn't completely replace sleep, sex before golf is a good thing...maybe need to repeat that episode a few times to confirm though!!!

Unfortunately my ratio doesn't include any sex, it's 100% Golf.

Don't get me wrong, I've got a great life, decent golfer and play a lot of nice courses. So compared to some am quite lucky.

Sex is great even in my 3rd year of marriage. Issue being now the aim is to have an end result 9months after...which would then seriously impact my future golf...

My golf:sex ratio is skewed in favor of sex but it wouldn't be hard given how little golf I play. I guess I am the opposite of super but I can live with it that way around.

thats a shame, would you ever try online dating it seems to be all the rage these days. I have a date tonight with someone who is probably way out of my league, worth a try anyway!

One of my main issues is living in Aberdeen Inco, it's as much as a female desert, or desert of decent females as I've ever seen.
I expect to be impressed with my trips to London and Denmark in the coming weeks. I can see a move abroad coming soon.

I have friends that have tried internet dating. A couple are married. One mate did a lot of banging out of it but he is/was a dirtbag. His tip though is to remember when they say average size it's usually size 14 so not a small girl.

But hey sex is better then golf isn't it??

I've been married nearly 10 years and play golf 3 to 4 times a week. I'll let you work out the ratio.....

I found Aberdeen to be quite "friendly" when I was up last year Super

I found Aberdeen to be v friendly indeed in the early 90's. I think it's cos there's not much to do and gets dark at 2pm in the winter!

Two universities Inco, however I am nearly 40.

It's tough at that age to find one that's not bin pupped, sr.

If the ladies don't stop your golf (I didn't play when I met my mrs so can't compare), the kids however definitely slow it down! I used to play 3 or 4 times a week between proper rounds, part rounds and range visits. Now I never go to the range, play once at the weekend and maybe 9 holes in the week in the summer.

If I had to ditch sex for golf I probably would, but I wouldn't swap my little girl for the world

a girl I dated for a while went to uni in aberdeen. she loved her spuds and was very proficient in the various cooking methods, roast, mashed, chips etc. which was a huge turn on for me. it didnt last though, she later left me because my eyes are too close together :-(

Golf:Sex?
Needle overwhelmingly towards sex, partly due to lack of much golf of course.
And sex during golf is certainly not what it used to be in the days when an evening round with drinkies and a cart (got to have some props) might be subject to titillating diversions.
Though have to admit my appreciation of Mickelson's final round at Muirfield was pleasantly interrupted by an unexpected, but extremely welcome series of interferences with my lie. Such oscillations are to be savoured, whatever one's age.

They have their similarities if we go by the saying.

I actually have a genuine story which Maverick would be proud of. This was about 10 years ago when I was young free and single.

Met a couple of lovely Venezuelan girls one Friday night. They were in London for the summer to improve their English. One of them was stunning, her mate less so. The average looking one took an interest in me, so I spent most of the evening talking to them both, trying to work my magic with the hot one. Ended up back at their flat in Bayswater, belonged to the uncle of one of them, nothing was happening with the hot one so decided to make the most of the situation and went off to bed with the other one. After some fun, she got out of bed and left the room and the hot girl popped into the bedroom and got into bed with me! Well what could I do other than enjoy her company for a while, until the first girl came back, and joined us in bed! A very good night indeed.

What has this got to do with this thread? The girls were very keen to carry on the fun and asked me to return on the Saturday afternoon and carry on where we left off. Obviously I was pretty keen as well, but as Saturday turned out to be hot and sunny I remembered I had a game of golf booked with my mates. It was a tough decision but I chose the golf in the end. It was only at the local municipal as well, not even anything special, what was I thinking?

I guessed I would get to see the girls again, but I never did. They probably went out on Saturday night and found some other guy who was more committed to fulfilling their needs.

What a mistake ray, I hope your mates bought you drinks all afternoon when you told them the sacrifice you'd made!!!?

I've only gone in favour of golf once as it was a important comp......... quadruple on the first, then spent the rest of the round wishing I was somewhere else!! Learned my lesson there as I was definitely punching above my weight with her, didn't get a second chance!

Golf - Mostly on my home course, mostly foursomes, but sometimes as a 2 ball and once in a while a single. Also enjoy playing other courses.

Sex - Exclusively on my home course and as a 2 ball - although I certainly appreciate other "courses"

Absolutely not touching number of holes played!
