it'll be a great shame if tna have released the guy. maybe he could come back to wwe with his pope gimmick bit like reverend devon but better.

Hope he returns to WWE has alot of charisma and his promos would be excellent the thing WWE hasn't had for a while now.Agreed that he should return as his Pope gimmick.

why on earth would he want to leave?

what concerns me is that if pope is getting released could joe be following?

If they let Samoa Joe go too, maybe that Sting vs Hogan for the title rumour is true.

It seems to me that Pope has asked to leave, probably felt underused

I'm a huge fan of the Pope (his promos remind me of the rock) and surely he would have a place in WWE. Anyone know if he left them on good terms?

I'd be surprised if Vince brought him back, for some unknown reason he couldn't even get a chance on ECW even after he started his Black Pope gimmick and ECW was crying out for talent and it was a suppose breeding ground, he could and should be the future of the buisness

Can't remember when or which dirt sheet I saw it on but I'm sure I recall reading a few months back that Pope really isn't liked backstage and is a proper moaner. Anyone else recall this or can back me up?
May well give weight to why he never got anywhere in WWE too.

I cant recall that report but i stopped reading dirts for about 4/5 months, I do remember he had a lot of frustration with bosses in the WWE for not allowing him TV time and not letting him use the Black Pope gimmick outside of .com

I had read on NoDq a while back that when Pope was being pushed he began to believe his own hype if you would, plus people backstage believed he wasn't playing a heel like he was supposed to. Was said he was trying to be "cool" when playing heel which rubbed alot of people the wrong way from what i remember reading.

According to the Elijah Express website, the admin of the site announced his graduation last week on Twitter and Facebook. This means his tweets on May 13th were not about that.

He's still on the roster.

Always thought it was an odd one that he left WWE - he was good on the mic and seemed good as the leader of the New Breed in ECW too.

The news is all a red herring.
He's passed his degree that he's been studying for.
