2012 Winter Classic

Looks like the Flyers and the Rangers will contest next years Classic. The game is penciled in for Jan. 2 in Philly, either at Citizens Bank park(baseball) or Lincoln field (football)

Question. Should the NHL play the Classic in the US and Canada in alternating years? Having the Classic a US versus Canada matchup or do you like the way it is now with the Classic based in the US and the Canadians teams having the 'Heritage Game', usually played in Feb.

I'd like to see the Canadian teams involved in the Winter Classic. I went to Fenway Park for the 2010 Classic between the Bruins and the Flyers, which was a great atmosphere and a good battle between the Broadstreet Bullies and the Big Bad Bruins. But I would have loved it even more if the Bruins opponents had been the Habs.

Have you seen the awful news about Derek Boogaard? Only 28 and found dead in his apartment yesterday. So sad.
