Plans for this weekend's action... Empty Plans for this weekend's action...

Post by Guest Fri Nov 22, 2013 5:06 pm

Up at some ungodly hour as my daughter refuses to sleep in.
Countless repeats of Bob the builder, Shaun the Sheep and those Minions mini-movies
Breakfast
Shopping with wife ("what do we need THIS for?)
Home for the Merseyside Derby (come on the Reds)
Wait for sister-in-law to come across and babysit whilst we go out with friends
Sit with in crippling silence husband of wife's friend who is an ardent Everton fan/take p!ss out of him all evening
Try to check phone for updates of Froch/Groves then resist urge as I try to summon up the nerve to ask Everton fan if he's willing to book the fight on Box Office (he did it for Haye/Audley so you never know)
Sulk when he says no/cheer when he says yes.
Cheer when Groves wins/sulk when Froch wins
Fall asleep before the Manny fight comes on via a.n.other source

Not seeing the misses (soon to be ex-misses) this weekend and having a break from the booze so a weekend of porn, junkfood, video games and boxing is on the cards

I fear your use of video games, more than pornography, may be the reason for you having a soon-to-be ex-missus

Woman can just about tolerate porn ("it's what men do!") but not video games ("It's what boys do!")

However, I shall be joining you in hoping Groves can get the win!

I actually havnt played any video games at all recently. Far too busy with Uni work. I always got time for porn though

My soon to be ex-misses is because she wants kids and I dont and she has cats and I hate the dirty little parasites and could never live in a house with any

I got feeling Groves is gonna do this and beat the slimester. Lets hope so

Up for a big breakfast, then meet up with my mates at London Bridge for some prematch beverages, then its across to the Den to watch the Lions, back to London Bridge for more beer in a pub showing the fight. Perfect Saturday on the cards if we win and Froch and Groves serve up a classic.

Going to a friends to watch the Froch v Groves fight , the wife is pregnant and due our first (and only) child on the 30th Nov, so I'm on driving duties.

If no emergency phonecall I'll watch the fight return home and watch Pacquaio vs Rios on Sunday morning. I'll be sharing your sleepless pain soon Dave.

Heading up north for the fight. Sitting in Euston right now. Mrs is already up there with the boy who I haven't seen all week. Sod the scouse game, the Hammers have got Chelsea in the evening so it'll be that in a boozer before heading to the MEN.

Sounds like a good night to me, buddy!

I have a weird schedule for days like this as I am living in Canada. Wake up, eat breakfast. Head out for the morning and back home for 1pm. English mate comes over and we watch the fight. Maybe we get hammered in the afernoon

Lazy sleep in, then catch the footy at home before heading into town for Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park for afternoon/evening then back to my mate's in Finny P for the boxing.  Hopefully all finished before the last tube so I can go home and either hit the sack or watch the Manny fight, depending how awake I'm feeling!

PS: Congrats Rodders!!

Oh, and keep us in the loop Rodders, all the best and that for when the Mrs drops. My best mate just had their first, stupidly pleased for them. When my Mrs gave birth I was drunk. Not the best start but genuinely not my fault.

I don't think I'll be watching it. Big training session on Sunday so need an early night. I don't really want to invite my friends round either, they drink too much and are pretty loud.

I'll catch it on YouTube the day after.

Sad that fans of the manliest sport in the history of manliism comprises of men who are routinely defeated by their offspring. My daughter likes to jump on my lap which means painful moments for me and great amusement from the wife.

Speaking of babies, i'm out tonight, few pints 'wet his head'.

Going for a pint at 1, with a couple of guys who cant make it tonight.

So will miss the fight.
Will try to watch it tomorrow, (hopefully) not knowing result.

Congrats Rodney. The 'sleepless' nights hav'nt been to bad so far.
Although was up at 5 this morning, feed nappy change, got back to sleep at half 6, then up at quarter past 7 for work.

Pretty tired this morning to say the least.

Its a great feeling though.
This is our first to.
