Don King strikes again.
Stiverne is close to missing out on a WBC title shot because of a contractual dispute with Don King.
Stiverne is arguing that their contract is illegal under US law because it forced him to hire Kings son as a co-manager.
Why do these fighters make deals with a man who is known for screwing his fighters over massively?

First thing I thought of was this clears the way for a Vitali v Haye fight next Spring/Summer. Which is exactly what Peter Fury suggested would happen.
The only man sneaky enough to put one over Don King was Barry Hearn. A drawn Eubank v Benn fight was exceedingly attractive to Barry that night. Much better than something like a Burns getting a decision over Beltran.

yeah because wasn't it the case that it was in the contract of the fight that both the winner and the loser would end up with king, but he didn't anticipate a draw

also you would think that king with his empire gone would have learnt his lesson by now about trying to rip people off

One of the biggest urine takes in world boxing is that big Vit has been given ANOTHER extension in order to 'find a challenger'. It's now been 15 months since he defended his title.Champagne_Socialist wrote:So has Vitali agreed to fight Stirvene?
They gave Ward about 9 months before stripping him.....
