Price Comeback

Knocked out a part timer in one round apparently. Fail to see what that kind of opponent does for Price. Yeah he needs confidence back yada yada but seriously, he needs proper tests. Knocking out stiffs in a coupe of rounds and not getting any rounds under his belt wont do him any good. Hes 30 now and has been a pro for years. They need to willing to match him tougher.

The opponent was a late stand in after his original opponent failed the medical.

Sauerland will no doubt steadily increase the level of opposition.

They got to find better opposition than that. I get the feeling they are going to be happy lining up stiffs to be bowled over by Price to take advantage of his big punch. They know hes a 3 round fighter with a big right hand and will match him accordingly.

An utterly pointless matchup , Price has gone , he has a mental coach , that says it all.

He was never going to go in with anyone of note, but he'd surely have got more to get a sparring partner in there who can at least withstand a few rights for a few rounds?

Because it was easier for Sauerland to bring this guy in at such short notice as he was already fighting on the card?

Lol, it was a comeback fight, they weren't going to put him in against anyone he could lose against sheesh, chillax.

Airich was the original opponent. Failed his medical (nobody said why); he was a relatively known opponent so although Price wasn't being matched dangerously Airich did have a few names on his record. That said the "formidable" Manuel Charr dropped and stopped him in less that a minute in his last fight so that probably tells you what you need to know...

Unsurprising that Price won. I forsee another few blowouts until the next step up in class. Then we shall see if he has learned anything.

being away from the lights of liverpool should be good for him. anyone with a punch like price's can be dangerous. he put thompson on his backside remember before it all went wrong. his power is definitely world class.

Samuel Peter had world class power, plus a chin and confidence. He'll need more than power. He needs to learn to relax, learn how to ride a shot, learn what to do in times of crisis, judge range better and counter attack more effectively than he could against Thompson. Learning how to be economic is necessary too.

Meh, no excuse for that kind of waste of time fight. I still think it was pretty weak to vacate the domestic titles. I mean come on. He must seriously lack the mental strength for this sport.

I actually think that Price might be the biggest puncher in the HW's currently, but if he doesn't sort all his other problems out then I don't see him being a major force in the division, but he's always a wildcard against any fighter packing that kind of power.
