Boxing Magazine Empty Boxing Magazine

Post by Pedro147 Tue 04 Mar 2014, 2:41 pm

Hi all,

A friend of mine is looking to create a magazine which focuses on both MMA and boxing. The thing is he doesn't know too much about boxing so was looking for some boxing magazines to give him an insight into format and stuff like that. Just wondering what you'd recommend and what magazines you all read in relation to boxing.

Cheers

Or like any business you ask specialists in certain fields for their input opposed to doing it yourself and messing up.

Surely a magazine has to be a labor of love........

One would suggest a guy who's interested in Boxing would know of publications that provide coverage.........

Tell him to forget it........ Cool

But thanks for the specialist compliment.......... Cool Cool

In this country there are two major boxing magazines. Boxing News and Boxing Monthly, both are similar in format, tend to be divided into sections, news/editorials first, previews next, reviews of recent fights and then articles. Boxing News has been around in one form or another for over 100 years so they are obviously doing something right. That would seem a pretty sensible place to start.
