Highlanders vs Force

The Force have just beaten the Highlanders 29-31

The visitors played well but the final minutes were mad. Two Force players were sin-binned around the 72nd minute mark when the score was 24-31. It seemed that the Highlanders would set a scrum, score a try and then have five minutes to score again for the win.

As it turned out, a makeshift Force scrum held on sufficiently to disrupt possession. Somehow, the NZ team dithered, even when

awarded another penalty. They didn't appear certain whether they were going for the draw or the win. As it turned out, it took them until the 79th minute to manufacture a try against 13 men. They celebrated, but the kick was around 10m in from the touchline and their kicker missed it.

I still laugh at the 'treeful of galahs' interview every time I see it.

I have never seen a Super team throw away a victory like that. I want to read what Joseph has to say - he must have been fuming.
