Some people on Merseyside are not happy the minute silence for Hillsborough turned into a minute applause during the Arsenal-Wigan semi-final on Saturday!

My question is: Should Minute Silences be scrapt and Minute Applause be the standard at Football Grounds?

I think it's very disrespectful when people make any sort of noise during a minutes silence. The point of the minutes silence is to be silent for a minute and pay respect, but some idiots out there just don't understand it. Yes they may mean well, but it's really not hard, when its a minutes silence, to remain silent!

Has the sky generation of football ruined football league and non-league clubs?

A minute's applause is fine. At the Ipswich game, there were a few idiots shouting up the stairways and even on the ipswich forum many members said they would turn up at 3:08 just because they believe liverpool fans are hypocrites.

People are to believe what they want i have no complaints about that, if there going to turn up when it's all over. But no point turning up and wrecking it for other people, who might of been effective by the whole thing.

I also have no complaints about minutes applauds, when it's supposed to be a minutes applauds, not a minutes silence!
