Who have you got for this season. Reckon if the Thunder stay healthy they win the Championship. Cavs win the East

Magic suffered a heart breaking loss to the Bulls, 7 point lead going in to the last minute but lost by a point. Harris looked extremely annoyed after he missed a pretty easy last gasp shot.

Kevin Love kept up his recent good form with another stand out performance against the undermanned LA Lakers. 32 points for Love and 28 for Ivring.

Cleveland 13-1 in last 14 matches and 20-9 at home

So amped for Irving. Uncle Drew has the best handles in the game. Good to see him translating that to raw figures

Impressed with how we've bounced back since Vaughn left, been a tough season as always with the Magic but there are a few bright spots, especially in Payton.

My boy D-Rose wracked up 30 points as the Bulls ended the first half off the season with a 113-98 win over the Cavs.

Cavs struggles away from home holding them back as they remain under .500 on their travels.

Bad news, people. Bulls guard Derrick Rose has a torn meniscus in his right knee and will undergo surgery. An exam and subsequent MRI confirmed the tear.

A timetable for Rose's return will be determined once he has surgery, the team said. The Bulls and Rose decided to fix the meniscus tear instead of cutting the damaged part out in order to elongate Rose's career.

Desperately disappointing news for D-Rose. With every passing injury the 2011 MVP(the youngest ever) might just have peaked and may now never return to that previous level.

The Bulls have paid Rose in excess of $58m is the passed 3 seasons and he's hardly played.

Might be time to face the fact D-Rose isn't gonna be the man to lead the Bulls to that 7th Ring

Never reaching those levels again, might play one or two games at that level in a seven game series, however, the consistency & levels of stress to perform at that level are seemingly beyond Rose.

In an update to this

Anthony Mason, who carved out a reputation for rugged defense over 13 seasons in the NBA, including 5 on the Ewing-era New York Knicks, is dead at 48.

The Knicks organization confirmed Mason's death, which the New York Daily News reported happened early Saturday morning after a struggle with heart problems.

'We would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt thoughts and strong prayers. Anthony felt each and every one. He fought like a warrior to the very end,' the Mason family said in a statement.

But the main concern is D-Rose's mindset.

Watching him play, you can see he still favours his left leg after his ACL injury. That in part could be the problem which is causing the right knee injuries.

Different sport but in the MLB, Manny Machado did an ACL and because he was still worried about his reconstructed knee, he ended up injuring his other knee.

It would be tragic if D-Rose's genius isn't fulfilled.

Long time away but sad news today.

NBA legend Steve Nash has finally retired. One of the all time greats, and 2 x MVP(neither Shaq or Kobe can say that). Shame that his time with the Los Angeles Lakers was blighted by injuries.

Undoubtedly the greatest free thrower in NBA history. Enjoy your retirement Mr Nash and thanks for the memories!

NBA playoffs match up are confirmed

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

(1) Atlanta vs (8) Brooklyn
(4) Toronto vs (5) Washington
(2) Cleveland vs (7) Boston
(3) Chicago vs (6) Milwaukee

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

(1) Golden State vs (8) New Orleans
(4) Portland vs (5) Memphis
(2) Houston vs (7) Dallas
(3) L.A. Clippers vs (6) San Antonio

Some very interesting match up, but I'm intrigued by the potential Texas showdown in the Western semi finals, if the Spurs get passed the Clippers.

They're saying it's too early to react, but I'd say it's probably time for Duncan & Manu to retire, nearing 40. Spurs have had a good run, but things come to an end at some points. Think Danny Green is also a free agent.

Interesting for LeBron going up against the Bulls, see what Rose & co. can do. Still pretty much going for a Golden State v Cleveland NBA Finals?

Yeah, didn't Wiggins win the Rookie? Curry has been superb, toss up between him & Westbrook but I guess Curry's performances deserve it.

Anything Rose can do, James says I can do it too!

Game 4, 86 points all. 1.5secs remaining. James sinks a buzzer beating 2 pointer to level up the series 2-2.

Chicago will be bitterly disapointed to have lost. Cleveland had to play an injured Ivring and Chicago still couldn't seal the deal.

Cleveland Cavaliers outclassed Chicago Bulls in game 6 and sealed the series 4-2. Chicago will be bitterly disappointing that they lost 2 matches at home. Looking at the Bulls roster it seemed their best chance of finally winning a championship post Jordan. It wasn't to be, and I don't see them winning one any time soon.

Mind you I'm still coming to terms with the Clippers implosion.

Hope the Golden State takes the Championship. Just a quality organisation, with quality from top to bottom. Fantastic fans, and a superstar in Curry. Plus Cleveland winning things is just unnatural

Monster games from the two best players in the world right now, Curry Torching 37, while James had a triple double anchored by another 40+ points performance. Unfortunately, the difference in support cast is too strong, and Warriors ran to a rather comfortable win. Bit of a shame for James, as he's currently playing with his support cast's support cast, but Chef Steph is going to be rightfully crowned

The Golden State Warriors finally scratched their 40 year itch to seal the 2014/15 NBA championships. The Warriors sealed the series 4-2 by clinching a 105-97 victory in Cleveland in game 6.

Golden States Andre Iguodala was named the Finals MVP. The first player to ever win the award who hadn't started every match.

LeBron James slips to 2-4 in NBA finals. He ain't no Michael Jordan.

Guess with it being MVP, rather than "Player of the finals" or whatever, Andre had to win it, but LeBron absolutely tore up this finals. MJ comparisons are by the by, the fact is your finals record in a team sport isn't a complete illustration of your abilities. Let's not forget MJ was 1-9 in playoffs until Scottie Pippen joined.

LeBron was a monster during these finals, taking away Love & Irving for the whole duration of the finals was a shame for the spectacle, simply left James too much to do. It was basically a one-man fighting machine in the end vs the Warriors.

Lebron did everything he possibly could to win this one, I don't think you can compare players ability based on their teams performance in the playoffs.

The fact the only two players have scored multiple triple doubles in the finals, Lebron and Magic Johnson.

When you think Lebron was within 2 assists in 3 other games of managing to triple double 5 of the 6 games speaks volumes for his performance in these finals.
