First topic message reminder :

Now the season is over, the rumours begin!

Milner/Ings to Liverpool seems likely.
Benitez to Real Madrid, Bale staying.
Falcao is desperate to move to Chelsea.
Otamendi and Dani Alves to Manchester United.
Raheem Sterling to Arsenal

What else?

I'd be surprised Hoffenhiem would sell before the Copa America. If I were in their shoes and they wanted to sell, I'd hope he'd have a good tournament to increase his asking price.

citys first bid rejected, actually think 25-30 mil is not a bad deal. do think liverpool will come the better off in this deal. cant see sterling fitting in at city and will flop

what do you scouse lot think is a fair deal?

I'm no scouser but I think Sterling will do alright at City. Apart from Silva, he's outperformed City's other wide midfielders in the last two years. Pelligrini will probably have the sense to keep paying him wide rather than through the centre.

Seeing as City only have three homegrown players on their books, I can understand why Liverpool have rejected £30 million.

Seems strange business to sign Falcao who has had a disastrous season at United, I'd expect him to be on big wages.

Get them up to £40 million and take the deal. Not worth it overall but the fact that he is young/English/it's City mean we will get double what he should be worth.

Does normally take a player, in any sport unless your Adrian Peterson, a season to recover from an ACL. So Falcao could be much better a season out from it, but I'm not sure at a club where we already have two injury prone strikers in Costa and Remy is a great fit.

Got most exciting prospect in the Bundesliga last season, whilst he's got a Brazilian flair he's benefitted from a number of years in Bundesliga so that he's an extremely hard working AM, much higher tackle rate than your usual AM and closes down defenders whilst off the ball. Good technical ability and speed but can have an issue with decision making which is Utd's so far confirmed signing Depay's big weakness too.

Final proof that Rodgers isn't being trusted to spend any more money on transfer fees.. 3 signings, 3 out of contract players. At least the first 2 were decent, this one is ridiculous.

So £30 million offer rejected for Sterling!

Sterling more than likely to leave this season...can see how it will pan out too. Liverpool will apparently accept offers of £50 million for him. City will pay it but we'll have to endure the f*cking three ring circus off upping their offer by 5p ever other frigging day until they finally come up with a decent offer one week before the transfer window closes leaving us with a decision to make as to whether or not we take another Torres/Carroll style punt on someone.

Looks like Cabaye is looking la sure bet to leave PSG.

When asked by L'Equipe if he expects to stay at PSG, Cabaye replied: "Not really. I know that if I stay I could do everything, but nothing would change.

"I had a talk with Laurent Blanc after the win over Lille. For him, the player in my place is better than me - there you go! It's his opinion, not a problem.

What a difference 12 hours makes

Sky Sports Germany are reporting that that Firmino chap will be leaving Hoffenheim but the agreed fee is £21.6 million, 8 million more than the price that broke last night

Don't see Kane happening, Spurs will be asking a kings ransom for him, too much a risk after one season of football

Apparently Jackson Martinez to AC Milan is pretty much done, they have a lot of money to spend with a new owner and will pay around 25 million pounds. He's a class striker, just a shame he came to Europe so late, 28 years old, still if your going to last out a career anywhere it's Italy.

Firmino for so little was never going to happen, half of the big teams in Europe are looking at him. In the current market even 21 million is a bit of a steal.

Telegraph believe City will come back with a higher bid for Sterling, but will not go to £50m and will play the patient game as they believe they will be unchallenged for his signature.

They also believe PSG will go for Ronaldo if they can be rid of Zlatan, and that Madrid would consider selling at £80m.

West Ham are reluctant to meet Arsenal's £2m loan fee for Jenkinson, and they'd have to cover his wages too, but Sunderland are happy to. Arsene will not sell because hes a bit of a dick.

Aye, I believe we value him at £35m but with a year left on his deal I'd take £20m

rookie error allowing us to get in this position, I won't begrudge him leaving, hes saved our bacon more times than I care to remember, I know a lot of United fans on Twitter are getting quite bitter at the prospect of him leaving but he doesn't owe us anything after being the key reason we're back in the top four

Depends on who is available as a replacement. Might be better off with him in goal than just allowing Madrid to nick him for £15m.

Sky reckon a Premier League team that isn't Liverpool have bid for Tevez. I think we all know which chairmen like to bid for players well out of their reach #hescominghome

I don't think we'd bring in anybody, Valdes with Lindegaard backing up. While I wouldn't be overawed by that combo, I do think it means we can postpone the search for a keeper until next Summer with more important positions required strengthening

I'd love to see Tevez back in the prem, just not at Liverpool, be class if West Ham could get him
